Novel & Cerita Ghosts Ellie Goulding

“He is, but he’s bipolar “ Gwen gave a shrug and said “Billie Eilish is bipolar but still make fire music” “Exactly what I’m saying” I said with a wink , she replied with a blush (who knew vampires could do that) Dan rolled his eyes “ the two of you are so unshakable. Anyways did you guys watch the news last night?” We shook our heads so he continued “Two female high schoolers were found dead in an alley yesterday, every single drop of blood was drained from their bodies and the only cut was a bite mark on their necks with multiple scratches. Apparently one of them was a member of the Cheerleaders so they are holding a candlelight service for her tonight in the auditorium”.

When we finally pull apart, I’m still reeling, my heart doing something entirely too loud in my chest, and some small, exhausted part of my brain wonders: if this is such an enormous mistake, why does it feel like the first genuinely right thing I've done in weeks. Before either of us can say a word, my phone buzzes on the floor beside me. I glance down out of habit, expecting nothing, and my whole body goes cold when I see it is a text from an unknown number. My eyes scan the single line of text displayed on the glass: 《You really think you can use my own eyes against me?》 I stare at the screen, the warmth from thirty seconds ago draining out of me entirely, replaced by a sudden stillness.

“You’re even hotter than Blue described. I didn’t know that was possible.” Sadie smirked. “You too, sunshine.” I turned the camera back on myself. “Okay. Full girl gang assembled. I guess I should explain why I sang Billie Eilish like I was casting a curse.” Ellie’s eyes widened. “Oh my god, you did not.” “I did,” I groaned, rubbing my temples. “I changed my solo at the last second and just… unloaded.” Sadie added, “She broke a hundred hearts in the crowd, and one of them was definitely Teddy’s.”

The air smelled of mold and rust. Eli’s heart started racing again. The darkness from the ballroom still lingered in his mind. He pulled against the chains, panic rising fresh in his chest. “Hello?” he called out, voice hoarse. “Is anyone there?” A figure stepped out from the shadows in the corner of the room. Tall. Thin. Wearing a black hoodie with the hood pulled up. The person moved closer until the light from the bulb illuminated their face. Eli’s breath caught. The Ghost.

Hawke and Xander Hawke together said, “So what , we have not done anything to you so why have you brought us here.” Ghost snapped, “You think you can fool us? How dare you and your son threaten my father! Have you forgotten that Mr. Thornfield has a daughter? Her name is Elara Thornfield.” Mr. Hawke stammered, “What… what are you saying?” Ghost smirked. “Yes, you guessed right. I am Elara Thornfield. I am also a Ghost. And anyone who learns this secret has no right to live in this world.”

I keep walking, my breathing being the only sound echoing in this huge scary garden. I am almost past the centre of it, but nothing still. I haven't seen a thing, and that voice is no more. The garden is dead quiet! I halt in my tracks, opting to howl to whoever that is around, but something stops me. The lights of the garden flicker on, the sharpness of them almost blinding me, but I dare not close my eyes. I can't. "Ellie!?" Damian appears right in front of me looking like he has seen a ghost.

I looked at the dead server, the empty accounts, the life I’d just wiped to be free. I picked up the phone. "Hello?" "Elara Vance," a woman’s voice said. It wasn't Chloe. It wasn't someone I knew. It was a voice like broken glass sharp, cold, and entirely without mercy. "You've been very busy tonight. You've destroyed a lot of expensive hardware." "Who is this?" "Let's just say I'm someone who appreciates the value of a clean slate. You've cleared your digital footprint, Elara. You’re a ghost now. And ghosts are the only ones who can get into the places I need to go."

The whole school thinks I’m a joke now. I waited. No reply. I could see the read receipt. She was looking at it. [Elias]: But here’s the thing about ghosts—we see everything. I have the bracelet, I have the recordings of you in my kitchen, and I have the memory of exactly how you sounded last night when the masks were off. Still no reply. I knew she was in AP History. I knew she was sitting next to Jax, her phone hidden under her desk. [Elias]: You’re agreeing to the engagement party? You’re going to stand on that stage and let Jax put a ring on your finger after what we did?

"And I told you that your 'going to ground' was a tactical failure. You’ve been pinging local cell towers every time you hit a dead zone. It’s sloppy, Roderick. It’s exactly the kind of signature the Ghost Unit looks for." Elias blinked, his confusion momentarily overriding his fear. "Wait, you know about the Ghost Unit? How does she know about the Ghost Unit, Roderick?" Roderick let out a long, weary breath, his posture relaxing only a fraction of an inch. He gestured for Tessa to climb through the window. "Because she’s been tracking the same ghosts we are. Apparently, for different reasons."

The music is blaring downstairs and I can hear people arriving. I haven't left my room all week. In the return of Leelie and the fact that it's her birthday today, the guys decided on a massive party. Which means, I have to get up and go out there because let's face it. With all this noise, I am not going to be able to go back to sleep and Ghost is ten seconds away from breaking through my door to chew on someone. She's bent down in front of the door, her ass up, tail wagging back and forth aggressively wanting to be let out.
