RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRE EX-HUSBAND CHASED ME BACK

RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRE EX-HUSBAND CHASED ME BACK

The breeze was warm, the night was still, but my mind was anything but calm. My phone buzzed. Jeffrey: I didn’t mean to push. Just… wanted you to know it’s still real for me. I stared at the screen. I didn’t reply. Because I didn’t know how to say It’s real for me too, without cracking something wide open. The problem with second chances is that they never come without ghosts. And mine weren’t dead—they were watching. Waiting. I set the phone down and stood. The guesthouse was cozy but suffocating. Every wall held a memory. Not all of them were bad. That was the problem. It’s easier to stay angry when the memories are jagged. But these were soft. Quiet. Safe.

My Lovely Ghost

My Lovely Ghost

Even though you are a not a human anymore but a ghost when we found each other, but you are the one that could fill my heart. Once again. Thank you Kevin. I wrote this letter for you... and myself. So that I can read it again and again. So that I can remember you. I also wrote a book about us. How we met each other, your story, mine, ours…. I can imagine your laugh when I tell you that I wrote a book. But let me tell you. It’s a hit, you know? Hehe… Another reason was, because my memories seemed to vanish little by little.

The Ghost of Lost Love

The Ghost of Lost Love

He drove with purpose, and I, like a phantom shadow, drifted along in his wake. I followed him as he made his rounds in a department store, buying things he had never once considered buying for me. It wasn't hard to see the distinction between love and indifference. My ghostly form seemed to grow heavier with every step, weighted down by the bitterness of seeing the man I had loved so deeply pamper another woman so thoroughly.

Whispers of a Second Chance

Whispers of a Second Chance

I sat up, the wooden chair creaking beneath me, my body stiff and aching from the cramped position. The air in the funeral home was thick with the scent of lilies and the hushed whispers of mourners. I stumbled to my feet, my legs shaky, and walked towards the center of the room, drawn by an irresistible force. There, bathed in the soft glow of the overhead lights, sat Dad's coffin, a polished mahogany box containing the man who had been my anchor, my confidant, my hero.

Memoir of Summer

Memoir of Summer

Chapter V: Memories It was a little blurry and muddled but Ren was sure it was a tiny memory of long back then. It was from one of his adventures as a rebellious child, he’s small though. He likes to escape and sneaks out of the house whenever the babysitter has fallen asleep, but Ren is a good little kid you see, he always makes sure to be back before they notice he’s missing. It was near winter, the remnants of autumn season was slowly fading and the wind began to get more chilly in the morning and every night. Although not cold enough to puff a smoke when talking.

A Time for Strength

A Time for Strength

I have my own loved one to worry about. I put my forehead in my hands and close my eyes. “Milo, please, Babe. Please answer me. I can’t take it anymore. Just tell me you’re safe. Tell me you’re alive in one of the ambulances or something.” A sooty hand rests on my knee. My breath catches in my chest when I see it. There’s a tattoo of a wolf covered in a floral bed sheet on top of his wrist. The wolf’s tail is sticking out from under the sheet and there are holes for his nose and steel-gray eyes. He got the tattoo because we were drunk one night and thought the idea of Ghost being terrible at being an actual ghost was hilarious. The next morning, we woke up naked in the meadow. He had the tat

I thought this was a great book. It was interesting to read the perspectives of other characters, allowing us to see what they knew and when. My only complaint is a seemingly awkward ending. Does anyone know if the author is ok?

31 Chapters 07/13/23 Yesssss Sugar Mama, you've got my attention. Love a baddie, strong female with a saucy attitude. I was so tired of these weak little damsels who need big Zaddy Alpha to save them. I was horny throughout FL scenes. Thank you for that.

A Kiss For Every Bruise

A Kiss For Every Bruise

But inside, something was missing, gnawing at me like an open wound. Until a year ago, in the Far East. The healer had been an old man, blind in one eye, with hands that trembled only when idle. He called himself Liang. I had gone to him out of desperation, after every psychiatrist and neurologist failed to fill the gaps in my memory. He spoke little English, but his needles did the talking. Each session was agony. Memories clawed their way back in bursts of pain and clarity, the smell of the sea, Gwen’s laughter, the curve of her handwriting on love notes she used to leave under my pillow. And then, the night of the ambush replayed in excruciating detail.

Alpha Step Daddy : Four Mates, One heart

Alpha Step Daddy : Four Mates, One heart

"When you are a ghost, you don't live in minutes or hours. You live in memories. And tonight, the memories are restless." "Show me," she whispered. "You always guide me through my dreams. Let me see yours. I want to understand why you always pull away when things get... real." I hesitated. My past was a graveyard. It was full of beautiful things that had turned to dust. I didn't want to drag her into the dark. But then I looked at her, and I saw the bridge between us. If I wanted her to trust me with her future, I had to trust her with my ghosts.

White Whispers

White Whispers

He walked up to the door that led out to the view of the coast, and opened it, his heart froze beneath his chest, and he let out a gasp. Anna also stared in awe as she approached the door. Before her was a coast ridden with bodies, and the edge of the sea was red with blood. Knowing the story of the five whispers, Anna had nothing else to say, except, "They are back. They are back."
