The Mafia's Love Quest (English version)

The Mafia's Love Quest (English version)

Hyun-woo asked. "Ne..komawoyo. (yes thank you) "By the way, my name is Gwan Ji-hoo, from the Rifle Squad Team. Panggawoyo (nice meeting you)," he introduced himself and offered his hand. "Park So-hee, imnida. Panggapseumnida. (I'm Park So-hee, nice to meet you)," she responded but immediately averted her gaze. Their conversation was brief because Park So-hee left soon after. Hyun-woo was a little bit disappointed because the woman was distant and unresponsive, as she did not even accept his handshake. However, he had to control his emotions, as he was shifting into another identity.

Angelique asked, confused. “Yeah. Trunks is his nickname, but his name is Juhoon Choi. He’s in Business, Level 200. He arrived last year, and he’s number one among the five S-Class students. He’s Korean-American — the son of the Korean business tycoon Seungmin Choi, CEO of H Holdings, and Xiaolin Feng, heiress of the Sash Conglomerate.” “You mean THE H and THE Sash?” Angelique repeated.

The Hating Game

The Hating Game

Seems like they are so close. Hyunwoo then walked towards us. "Hello Dae.", he said stretching his hands in front of Dae with a smile. He took it and shook it, his infamous dimpled smile playing on his lips. " Hi Aroon hyung.", Hyunwoo said looking at me. I smiled and exchanged hands with him. Haneol didn't exchange hands with me or Dae but she smiled at both of us.

I was seriously going to stop reading this book as it is a bit expensive and the story was deviating from the central plot. But today I unlocked a chapter again and I am totally happy after reading it. And I found the author cut out some irrelevant Oakphet portions and added new content. Good work👍

The Rise, The last Queen

The Rise, The last Queen

Hana smiled mysteriously and replied, "Gunwo, you must remember that your left hand touched me. Its future outcome will cause you pain," Gunwo ignored Hana's challenges. In Gunwo's mind, he alone could defeat Hana and all the exotic people. Gunwo's face scrunched up as if he had secured victory in the palm of his hand without even noticing Emma and Moan's disappearance. It wasn't until the person next to him spoke that Gunwo saw. He tilted his head into the other's ear and said softly, "Are you afraid of those weak, beautiful women and useless men? Oh, don't. Sober up if you want; I'll give you a little girl with two hair braids, okay?"

"Can you get me one, too?" Hayan felt frozen on the spot when he heard Hajin's voice beside him. "Hayan?" "Huh? Ah... Y-yes. What... what do you want?" "Hmmm.." Hajin stared at the machine and pointed. "That soda." Hayan nodded and tried to insert the coin with his trembling hand. He failed, though, and the coin rolled on the ground. He frantically chased for it. But Hajin's quicker. He immediately grabbed the coin. "Let me do it." He inserted the coin smoothly. "What do you want?"

My Model (BL)

My Model (BL)

The enhanced flesh healed unnaturally fast, sealing before his eyes. Jin-ho roared and swatted Soo-ah’s weapon from his grip. The gun clattered across the floor. He lunged, swinging the glowing blade toward Soo-ah’s chest. But Sang-woo was there—always there. He shoved Soo-ah back, the blade cutting deep across his own side instead. Blood sprayed, dark against the crimson light. “Sang-woo!” Soo-ah’s voice cracked, horror twisting his chest. But Sang-woo didn’t falter. He twisted into the pain, locking Jin-ho’s blade with his own, gritting his teeth as their faces hovered inches apart.

The hand belonged to Seo-joon , Dae-Hyun’s best friend who he forgot when he ran into Tj at the bar “nega uri sureul saogetttago haetjjana geurigo naneun karamelpoktanjureul jumunhan jogeun opjjiman chakadagohwakssinhae” (you said you were going to get our drinks , and I am very sure that I never ordered a caramel bombshell but nice) Seo joon teased. With a groan Dae-Hyun replied “nae jalmosi aniya geunyangnomu maeryokjjogiosso” (it’s not my fault okay, she was just so damn attractive)

자주 묻는 질문

One thing I've noticed in a lot of the fics is how they're built around the fundamental difference in how each of them processes trauma. Gi-hun's guilt is so external, so performative—he's constantly trying to make grand gestures of atonement that often just make the mess worse. Sang-woo internalizes everything, turns it into this cold, calculating survival logic that eventually poisons him. So a lot of stories I'm drawn to explore what happens when those coping mechanisms fail and they're forced to swap roles, even briefly. Like, what if Sang-woo is the one who breaks down and needs saving after the games, and Gi-hun has to be the pragmatic one for once? Or the opposite, where Gi-hun's empathy becomes a strategic weapon Sang-woo can't understand.

The tension isn't just 'good vs. evil'—that's lazy. It's more about two broken men seeing reflections of their own worst failures in each other. Gi-hun sees the selfishness he fears in himself, and Sang-woo sees the sentimental weakness he despises. That mutual recognition is a fantastic engine for conflict, whether it's in a tense allies-against-the-world thriller or a quieter, post-canon character study. I read one recently where they're forced into a reluctant road trip, and the entire plot was just them arguing about every single decision, each choice loaded with their pasts. The actual events mattered less than the sheer exhaustion of having their worldviews constantly clash.

What gets me is that their bond, however toxic, is probably the most real connection either had during the whole ordeal. Everyone else was an opponent or a temporary ally. They knew each other before, however superficially, and that history adds a layer of bitterness that pure strangers wouldn't have. It makes forgiveness seem impossible but also weirdly necessary, which is a goldmine for angst.
