Romans & histoires Gifts For Grumpy Old Man

After that, it was the second generation's turn, which included Penny, Iris, and Leon. "Grandpa, Andy, and I would like to gift you this painting in the symbolism of great health and longevity," Penny and Andy offered their gifts. Soon, it was Iris and Leon's turn. "Grandpa, Leon, and I have prepared a priceless jadeite statue for your birthday. We hope that it will bring you a lifetime of health and prosperity," Iris said as she and Leon opened the gift box and handed the exquisite statue to Patrick.

Reese's mind went blank for a few seconds, but this man actually admitted it, and she was still stunned. When the old lady saw his gifts in his hand, she asked, "Why are you buying so many gifts! Come here and play! Don't be so polite." "These are all Reese purchases." The man said in a deep and pleasant voice, pushed all the gifts onto her. "You, don't spend so much money." The old lady mumbled again. Then, she turned around and realized that her granddaughter was still in a daze outside the courtyard door, so she hurriedly called out, "Reese, why are you still not coming in!"

A devilish smirk graced the old man's face as he thought about his plans. "But but you know, I'm a good grandfather, one that cares much for you. So fear not, I shall provide you with a delightful gift. A gift that will once again make you obedient to me. Just wait and observe!" Old Master Richardson secretly cheered.

“But, you’ve not been yourself all day, I’m only worried and I want you to talk to me.” He chuckled faintly. “It’s just been a long day hmm? Don’t worry about me.” And turned his gaze away from me. “But, you don’t—“ Grandpa’s glass clinked in the air. “Just a moment please.” He said, trying to gather everybody’s attention. He continued. “As you all know, it’s a very special day for my sweet granddaughter Jenna and wonderful son in law Rob and in respect of that, I’d love to present them a gift.”

I was married to his grandson for five years yet he never let me greet him. "Grandpa,I heard that you were complaining of pains some days ago. There is this healthy tea I saw online that is naturally made from china. I could…" "Don't waste your money on gifts I would end up not taking. I don't also need your sympathy concerning my health," Grandpa shut me off but I wasn't ready to give up yet. "Uh, is that so," I closed my eyes putting on a fake smile like I was okay with his cold words. "I'm glad that you are okay now. I won't bother you anymore Grandpa please remain healthy," I beamed.

“See, wolf on one side, kitten on the other and beast on the top. I remember doing this. He has some amazing ideas, Jackson. That is why I created two so people could see this and request similar. Not the same, though. He paid extra to make sure no one would have the same, so you may have it.” His hands close the box and hand it to me. I can’t believe I just found the whip he loved. I had no idea why he was so bothered about it. I had never paid much attention but now I see why he was so bothered. “Thank you. How much is it?” Looking at him, I grab my card ready to pay but his head is shaking. “No need. I am closing up. My hands do not work as well with old age, so it can be a gift. Tell J

The old lady smiled broadly and praised him, saying, “You’re an amazing grandson, Cyrus. Thank you for the gift.” “Grandma, no matter how much money is spent, it’s worth it as long as you’re happy!” “Grandpa, I’ve brought you a famous painting.” Another grandson presented his gift. The old lady’s smile instantly froze, but she still nodded to acknowledge him. Following after, the rest of the Hills’ youngsters presented their birthday gifts. Apart from Cyrus’ valuable gift, the other gifts were too common. The old lady slightly nodded when they were presented to her. Thea smiled and presented her gift. “Grandma, I’ve also prepared a gift for you. This is thousand-year-old ginseng. It’s Herbal

“Penny, you’ve finally come.” A tinge of guilt appeared on Penny’s face as she quickly went up to him. “I’m so sorry, Grandpa. Dad’s health suddenly worsened yesterday, and I didn’t realize I had missed the pick-up time. This is the gift I brought for you.” The gift Penny gave to the old man was not something that could be bought. After all, as Sir Fergerson had reached his position, there was nothing he could not buy with money. She gave him a painting she had made herself. She felt a bit embarrassed when presenting it.

The room seemed to focus on it. The old man held it out. "For you " he said. I blinked. "What?" I asked. "Take it " he said. I did not move away. "Why?" I asked him. His smile got a little softer. "Because I never let people leave here without something " he said. That answer surprised me. The old man chuckled. "Think of it as a gift " he said. "I do not believe in gifts " I said. "No " he said. His eyes gleamed.

The dinner table fell into a dead silence. “Sweetheart, come with me.” Mom led me to the backyard and pushed open the storage room door. In the corner were more than a dozen neatly stacked cases of the exact same whisky. Some were damp and moldy, others were covered in cobwebs. These were all the New Year’s gifts I had my husband, Kevin Zane, buy over the past three years. “W-What is this?” My voice came out dry. My throat was tight.
