Kass hissed. “No. No no NO—she shouldn’t have that much influence yet—pull her away—!” The clone surged forward again. Elias stepped in its path. He had no plan. No chance of winning. But he planted his feet and glared at the creature wearing Lena’s face. “If you want her,” Elias growled, “You go through ME.” The clone raised its hand— But something inside it hesitated. A glitch. A flicker. It stared at Elias with something eerily human.

The claw mark on her chest raw and fresh. And he couldn't help it. Closing his eyes, trailing them. He focusses his energy on it. Making a dark substance to replace the red blood and next she knows. The dark substance stitches the wound together, closing it. Healing her. His fingers trail lower to touch her blossoms ,when he stops. Clenching his fists. The humans words resonating in his mind. " I will die but I will never accept a man like you! I hate you! I hate you Than!"

Silas grunted and his claws popped out of his fingers, the sharpness of the Alpha's claws glinting in the sunlight that streamed into the forest through the spaces in the tree leaves. “You don't need to come into my territory to make me kill you, your existence alone is a nuisance” Silas said and charged at them. A few minutes later, the dismembered body of the three rogues lay on the floor in an entangled bloody heap, blood dripping out of Silas claws as he wiped them carefully with the white handkerchief he was holding, his previous pristine white shirt stained with blood.

Just then, a man pushed through the crowd and stepped in front of Derek. “Alpha, give the word—we’re ready.” It was his Beta, voice calm but filled with authority. Kelvin froze, as if struck by lightning. “What… what did you call him? Alpha?” he stuttered. Derek tilted his head, smirking. “Do you doubt the existence of the Rogue Pack?” Kelvin didn’t answer. His lips moved but no words came out. Alex, still seated, looked stunned. “Wait… that Rogue Pack? The one that’s invaded territory after territory over the past years? The one with the mysterious Alpha no one has ever seen?”

Victor hit the floor, coughing up a spray of dark blood, but he grabbed the clone’s ankle, holding on with a death grip. "Error," the clone muttered. "Target Victor Blackwood is persistent." It raised its other hand, claws extended to finish him. This was it. Elodie didn't think. She lunged forward, her fingers clawing for the blue light at the back of the clone’s neck. Her nails tore through the synthetic skin, hitting cold metal and warm wires. "Accessing," she screamed, her mind flooding with Camille’s data. The clone froze. Its head snapped back at an impossible angle, its jaw unhinging. "Unauthorized access. Security protocol Alpha-One-Nine initiated."

Kazimir’s voice tore through the static-heavy air. He stood at the head of the "Vessels," but he was no longer a traditional soldier. In his hands, he gripped a Glitch-Blade—a weapon forged from a piece of the decaying horizon. The blade didn't have a solid edge; it was a flickering sliver of Corrupted-Code that hissed like a thousand angry wasps. "Don't aim for their armor!" Kazimir roared, his Leadership-Steel cutting through the panic of the alien survivors. "Aim for their Logic-Centers! Use the glitches! If the world is breaking, use the shards!"

A howl sounds some distance in the front, just at the same time a group of rogues leap out of the bushes. I spring into motion immediately, all my training kicking in. I knock the first one down just before he shifts into his wolf, wrapping the wire around his neck and pulling hard. Suddenly, the clearing is a battlefield. Weapons clash against weapon, rogues fall down. I roll to the side, avoiding the snapping of fangs as a wolf lands where I stood a second ago. From the corner of my eye, I see Ragnar watching it all from the sidelines, like a messenger of death himself.

This one had modifications visible—silver circuitry running under her skin like veins, eyes that glowed faint blue. More machine than human. "Target acquired," the clone said in a monotone.
