Elias instinctively reached up, touching the tarnished silver band resting on his brow. "It wasn't mined, Architect," Elias said, his voice dropping to a whisper. "It was recovered. From the impact crater." "What crater?" I demanded. "The one at the roof of the world," Cord answered, stepping forward, his massive chest heaving. "The highest peak in the northern frozen wastes. The wolves call it the Goddess's Tear. It is a massive, frozen crater where a fragment of the moon struck the earth ten thousand years ago." I felt the familiar, terrifying thrill of a new impossible equation locking into place.

CHAPTER EIGHTY Our Love is Eternal Alexa’s POV Three years later. And here I was, standing at the heart of a beautiful glass garden room drenched in soft golden lights, laughter, and gentle music, wondering how I’d even gotten this far. From a broken, terrified girl clinging to survival... to this. A woman. A wife. An entrepreneur. The soft shimmer of fairy lights overhead caught in the champagne flute in my hand as I looked around. People were everywhere. Laughing, dancing, raising glasses in toasts. The smell of roses, sweet cakes, and grilled rosemary lamb filled the air. A celebration in every sense.

Eula stated. They both keep quiet again and silently watch the fight going on right now. Alexis releases a strong electricity from her scythe and she hits the Goddess and sat down on the ground. Alexis kicks the spear away and points her scythe on the Goddess' neck. "This power... I can't believe this... You have that kind of power..." The Goddess stated. "What power? What are you talking about?" Alexis asked in confuse. "You didn't know? That can't be! You didn't know that you're a descendant of-" The Goddess didn't finish what she wants to say because someone throws a rose on her neck and the rose exploded.

"Who are you?" Chris asked. "I AM GODDESS ALEXIA, THE ORACLE OF THE GODS." "Allen, please take Sandra away," Chris said as he noticed that Sandra was already shivering. "Okay buddy, hope you both will be fine." "I will namesake, keep her safe and take care of her." "Bye namesake till our paths cross again." "Sure, namesake. Our paths will surely cross again." Allen nodded and walked out with Sandra, entered his car, and zoomed off.

Alexa tried to speak but started stuttering again. Goddess, how did I even end up with someone like this? Was it my greed? My desire to be great? If it were any of that, I wouldn’t have a problem as long as I could get what I wanted, but having Alexa as a mate has proven harder than I expected.

“I do not know if I can be an Alpha to my father’s pack let alone a queen of the entire species. I am so damaged and broken, I don’t think I’ll make a good queen.” The Goddess once again pulled her into her embrace and placed a loving kiss on the top of her auburn hair. “I wish we had more time my beloved daughter, know that I will always be with you,” “Wait, what do you –“ And just like before Alexa felt as if she was pulled backward until she was once again lying on the edge of the pond. As if she had never gotten up in the first place. Alexa felt her heart stutter in her chest and disappointment filled her when she looked back toward the Goddess but saw the marble figurine instead of the

"Bro, that's messy. Why would the moon goddess pair you up with a vulgar girl? She of all people knows our pack and theirs have an unending feud. So why? I don't understand." "Me neither. And can you please stop using that term on her? It's not sitting well with me." Alexa is anything but vulgar. She's the purest thing out there. Calling her vulgar is sick. I don't care if it's a norm or not. "Right. I'm sorry. What's her name?" "Alexa. Alexa Dawn." "I'll keep it in mind." We stay quiet for a few minutes and I turn to him, with pleading eyes.

Alexan gritt his teeth because that sounded about right. Klaus got himself comfortable before continuing. "Sasha was killed and replaced by The Goddess of replacement. Everyone may not know but that's my sister. She's a true temple Goddess and I'm a magical courts God. We are half siblings but she doesn't know that I'm a dark God. After I told her to go back to the temple realm, Alexan sent her back here." Klaus gritt out. This was not looking good for him.

What was the usual Alexa like? "Tell me Anna, is it... The Alexa you know is... like a 'pa?" Alexa asked in a hanging tone. "Miss Alexa, as a Leader of The Devil used to be a stern woman, lacking expression and emotion, possessing such ambition and hatred that she would not hesitate to cut off someone's head if necessary. But the current Miss looks more lively, able to smile, friendly, but the firmness that Miss has never disappeared. I hope you'll stay like this..." Alexa listened to what Anna said, and she was disturbed by the words ambition and hatred. How far did she go to harbor those two horrible things! Did it go further than her hatred for Addison's family?

Alexa was taken a back for a moment. " What do you want. I don't remember expecting any guests much less a human." Alexa braced herself. This woman was too lost in hatred that she wasn't sure that she could help her let go it. If time run out before she accomplish her task then all would be for nothing. " I am not human. I am a witch, like you once were." Alexa said, hoping she could appeal to her. With the current appearance she had, she could hardly make out an expression from her face in the dimly lit cave.
