Chapter 45: The Launch of Celestia The scene opens with a press conference held in a grand, sleek government hall, filled with reporters, journalists, and government officials. Cameras flash as a towering screen shows the presentation of Celestia, the innovative cancer treatment machine. At the center of the event, Evelyn stands beside Carlos, both of them radiating pride and accomplishment. Mr. Harrington, ever the mentor, steps back slightly, allowing Evelyn and Carlos to take the stage.

The goddess Eve said before she raises her hand and a bright light fires to the sky. The black goddess’ scary laugher echoes to the place as she laughs menacingly as she lay on the ground weak and beaten. The sky suddenly brightens and from above there is a ball of bright light starting to come down. “You are the same as always Eve. Always thinking like a goody- goody goddess.” The black goddess laughs. “They are here.” The goddess Eve said as we all look into the descending ball of light.

I walked toward the table and grabbed the official statement prepared earlier. A formal declaration. One that would be spread through the kingdom before nightfall. Uriel watched me quietly. “The elders won’t like how forceful this sounds.” “I don’t care.” My wolf stirred darkly beneath my skin. “They’ve questioned her enough.” And they were beginning to forget something important. Questioning Evelyn meant questioning me. That would end now. I handed the statement back to Uriel.
