My dad asked the person he was speaking to over the phone. There was a slight pause before my dad continued. “Listen, detective, you know just how we do this. It has to be someone no one can lay claims on, and you don’t have to worry about anything this time around,” my dad continued. He sounded so happy and eager. Jesus! “I work at the white house now, Eden, no one is going to touch me or you now. We can now go about our business without fear or worrying,” he finished. My goodness!

Emily touched Stefany's hand, "Daddy just wants the best for you. But we also want you to know that we believe in you. We will always be here to support you." Mr. Frank nodded in agreement. "Yes, Stefany. You can go to church tomorrow. But please, always be careful and take good care of yourself. Don't get too close to Daniel!" said the father, who was forced to allow his daughter to leave the house tomorrow to worship at church. Stefany smiled faintly, feeling relieved. "Thank you, Daddy. I promise I'll be careful."

“This is good. Go home. We’ll keep you updated.” I squeezed his arm, assuring him of my support. We’ve never been very physical with each other. Well, not in a friendly father-and-son way. But it felt good to reach out to him.

It’s easily two hundred degrees down here, but the sweat is the very least of my worries. I jerk my head back to Missle for answers, but he looks just as clueless. “No! No, he can’t! My dad doesn’t even work out other than running his wolf. Gabriel has a massive gym in his house, he’s buff as hell,” I shout, raising my hands and practically digging my nails into his shoulders. I jerk my head back out toward the ring. I don’t know what I expect Missile to do, it's obvious nothing is going to change my dad’s mind. “I know, Dad. I’ll get it done. It’s on my to-do list for next week.” “I could go myself,” my dad offered. “I could fly out and meet you there. It’s important we get this done right and fast. Your mom will understand.” “Oh no you don’t,” I laughed, shooting down yet another attempt by my father to come back to work before his doctors had given him the all clear. “You need to stay home and focus on your recovery. Doctor Richards told me you were under strict orders to take it easy at least until your next checkup.”

I ask my father calmly as he looked at me and smiled. "You know you can call me dad here, besides I have some amazing news." He said as he kept looking down at his phone that kept getting messages, "What news is that?" I asked and uneasyness set into my body. "You get to stay home today, I am going out of the pack for buisness, I wont be home till tomorrow and I set for the guards to pick up the entire list of food that you been wanting for your birthday." My father said which made me more uneasy.
