The Vampire King Married Death
Only two enormous crimson eyes became visible through the veil of black mist, watching Lucien and Nyx with unsettling patience.
“I have waited ten thousand years,” the voice said. “I can wait a little longer.”
The darkness slowly retreated through the crack in the sky, taking the monstrous hand with it.
As the last trace of shadow disappeared, the fractured trial began repairing itself. The crimson cracks sealed one by one, and the suffocating pressure filling the endless expanse finally lifted.
No one celebrated.
The Hollow God had not been defeated.
He had simply chosen to leave.
Nyx continued staring at the place where the darkness had vanished, her expression growing more troubled than r
