Her wrists screamed from the tightness of the ropes, but she pushed through the pain, stretching her fingers as far as they could reach.
The glass was just out of reach.
She tried again. Her fingertips brushed the edge. Again. She gritted her teeth and reached harder, ignoring the burn, the ache, the dizzying pressure in her wrists.

Her fingers closed around it. A shaky breath escaped her. She positioned the shard against the rope, sawing as quietly as possible.
