Before, there was no need to knock on Gabe's door because she knew the code, but he had changed it after his former housekeeper left. When she turned the knob, it opened up, just as she had thought it would. She walked to the hangar that was down the hall and dropped her black leather jacket on it, then she proceeded into the living room, looking around to see everywhere as shiny as usual. Gabe was what one could refer to as a neat freak and Alex was doing an even more wonderful job, coupled with the cleaner still coming in every once or so to clean.

At least for now. Gabi poured water into the huge metal bucket, and added the industrial-strength floor cleaner. She paused, looked down at the floor, threw in a bit more. What the hell happened here, anyway, to make this place so damn filthy? Yeah, it was a garage, but this was meant to be the kitchen area. She cleaned like a mad woman, and yet every single time she walked into this place, she wondered if she’d actually been there two nights before. But it kept her in a job, and that’s all that mattered, really.

With that I dashed out of the kitchen " You cannot say thank you abi!!!" I heard Omale shout from the kitchen. " Come and collect it!!" I shout back "Can you guys just shut up" that was George. I would say he was the nerd of the house. Always reading, I read too but his own was just too much. He hated noise...any form of noise, and guess the worst, he believed in being a virgin still marriage, so he found our acts very irritating. Lol... Sometimes I wonder why God decided to waste such beauty on his kind of personality. But sometimes he breaks out of that his shell. It rarely happens sha.

Eggs and other groceries quickly filled the shelves. “Oh, so that’s how it’s done?” Gabriel said, realization dawning on his face. “I see now.” I rolled my eyes. It seemed like even though this guy was strong and successful, he couldn’t take care of himself at all. “Don’t you have a maid or something?” I asked as I continued organizing. “Not here.” “Then how do you live? Who cleans up for you? Who cooks?” I asked. If he didn’t even know how to unpack groceries, he probably couldn’t cook either.

I confirmed from Gavin’s unperturbed face that nothing was out of place and the man was supposed to be here. “Welcome, boss,” the man said to him, bowing slightly. Gavin offered a nod then made a one-way introduction. “Sienna, this is my housekeeper, Todd.” I smiled. He did the head bow again. “Welcome, ma’am.” Gavin lingered to give Todd some instructions and when the conversation stretched on, I wandered down the wide corridor, trying not to make a show of how much I was looking around. The house was no doubt luxurious but that wasn’t why I couldn’t peel my eyes off its walls, decor, and hard floors softened in places by rugs that seemed chosen more for symmetry than comfort.

He was nice and kept calling her ma’am – respectfully. Mable will miss the people at Garvey’s but not Garvey’s itself – not as is. As housekeeping supervisor, she didn’t have to clean the rooms everyday unless the housekeepers were overwhelmed or they were short a girl. But when she did have to clean a couple of rooms? Oh, God. Some folks weren’t so messy. Just changed the linen, take out the trash, replace complimentary items, vacuum real quick, and that was it. Others? The rooms would be totally trashed. A year ago, she had gone into one of the fourth-floor suites. It was a check out. It was one of the worst ones she had ever seen and the most disturbing. Whoever was in there had left doll

I drank the bottle of soft drink that Goodness had offered to me as I waited for him to come back so we could continue making plans for our small hotel trip in the evening. “I was in the shower when she left,” Goodness’ father startled me. “Thank God you told me about it before I left the house. If not, I would have delayed her salary for another day.” Goodness’ father said to him after he had made him to be aware of the absence of their housekeeper. “She is a good woman,” Goodness said. “You should be paying her on time.” “I know.” Goodness’ father sat down. “Perer! How are you?’ His father’s voice rasped through the small hole in my ear.

And luckily for me I can afford one. I grabbed my phone and searched for the most exclusive housekeeping agency in the city. I stumbled upon one, Boogie Domestic Solutions. Weird name, but so long as they could solve my problems… I explained what I needed, a full-time live-in housekeeper who could handle everything from cooking to organizing my chaotic smart home. I made payments within minutes and they promised to send someone within the hour. I quickly showered and threw on a black sweatshirt and jeans, trying to make the place look somewhat presentable. By the time the doorbell chimed, I had cleared the worst of the mess in the living room.

Just to breathe air that didn't feel so heavy. I got dressed in jeans and a simple sweater, pulled my hair into a ponytail, and headed downstairs. Mike was in the kitchen, drinking coffee and reading something on his tablet. He looked up when I walked in. "Morning," he said. "Morning," I replied quietly. I grabbed a glass and filled it with water, trying to ignore the awkward silence. "I'm going out," I said suddenly. "To the grocery store. We're out of... stuff." Mike set down his tablet. "Stuff?"

Edmond whispered in between their kisses. “No, I would make you beg for mercy.” Lorene chuckled while they both lay on the bed. Hayley opened the door, she welcomed her warmly into her humble abode. Cobwebs had covered her bookshelves and she imagined what the attic would look like. “I think I'm going to do a lot of cleaning.” Hayley said arms akimbo. “You can use your magic.” Valarie said snapping her fingers and the dusty living room turned sparkly in seconds.
