I have to say, this is an excellent read, right from the first chapter it just grasps you. I know it isn't comedy but the choice of words just had me giggling. I just know it's about to get intense. If you're wandering whether to read it or not, take it from me, you must! You won't regret it!

I love the dark part of this story. It's touchy and realistic. Even though I just read the first chapter, I felt every meaningful touch and idea the author wanted to pass through. I'm so impressed and I definitely love this. Keep it up, writer.

Blood Beneath the Cypress Knees

Blood Beneath the Cypress Knees

Black venom dripped thickly from its jaws, hissing where it splashed into the flooded mud, sending up clouds of acrid steam. Around its massive form, smaller horrors crawled through the rising water—mutated wolves with too many eyes, pale-skinned swamp leeches the size of dogs, twisted deer skulls sprouting spider legs. The air itself seemed heavier, fouled by rot and sulfur. Inside the house, silence reigned. Junie clutched Jade to her chest. The baby slept peacefully, oblivious to the gods and monsters clashing outside. Simone and Willa hovered close, their faces pale and drawn. Jonah stood near the barricaded door, fists clenched tight, his jaw taut.

With a choir, singing in her living room! “Beth,”Emma said ever so sweetly,“honey, are you totally sure you weren't having a dream? You must realize how this sounds! All this talk of caskets and corn children giving you ominous warnings….did you watch a horror movie before bed?You know how those upset you.” Beth composed herself as best she could.”No, I didn't watch a horror movie Em.I came downstairs thinking I’d left the telly on and there in my living room was a casket with me in it!And a choir of children.”

She argued solid and stretched open the wide gates of the haunted house. Bats flew in the sky making dangerous sounds. The complete premises was covered with dried leaves and cobwebs. The mansion looked old, colorless and out of life like a death invite. Amara gulped heavy. She is terrorized, is an understatement yet she was determined to save her boyfriend. As she was about to take her step forward again the same devilish figure appeared before her flying around her in air. This time he was angrier. "Didn't I warn you, do not go there. There is nobody residing inside." He told his same words used hitherto but this time with force.

With nowhere else to go I walk over to the door and open it. Inside I can see Brittany screaming laying on the floor with the smiling figure standing over her, looking directly into my eyes. The door slams shut as it moves away creating a gap between me and the door. I run to the door as I struggle to open it. I finally get it open, as I enter the door closes behind me as I stand in a dark giant house with nothing but a door all around. I look around not knowing what could happen next. I can feel the fear creeping up my spine.

HOUSE OF WITCHES

Earnestine asked Hayley leaning at the door with her arms folded. “Never been better.” Hayley answered, as she pulled off her shoes, and top. “Get some rest before you come down for dinner.” “Thank you.” Hayley smiled. Hours later. It was drizzling, the heavy rainfall, rumbling, and the storm had stopped. They could only hear the sounds of the dripping, and splattering on the metal sheets that covered the building. The four sisters were in the living room watching a horror movie, they held themselves tight. They watched the man on the television screen scream, as his throat was slit.

The Strange House

The Strange House

He kept walking, and Blaine stayed close behind him. What exactly does he mean by that? Is there anyone else in this room besides us? But Jake said that he lives alone here before i came ! He isn't talking about supernatural beings, right? Is this place being hunted? Is it because the house, despite its size, is being hunted that no one else lives here besides him? Blaine moves closer to Almothean with that thought in mind. If there is one thing that frightens him, it is not criminals or murderers, but the ghost! After all, you can defend yourself in the living, but a gun would simply pass through a ghost.

Heiress of Horror

Heiress of Horror

Under the blazing sun, the party walked for an entire half hour before arriving at the village square. "Is this a stone altar?" "Aren't altars par for the course when it comes to myths about the sea? What's there to be surprised about?" The party discussed amongst themselves carefully, before Afro exclaimed, "Wait, that altar isn't made of stones, it's made of human skulls! Wasn't this supposed to just be an A-ranked dungeon? How did so many people die here?" At the center of the square stood a massive watchtower built entirely from human bones.

House of the Lycans

“30.” Silence fell. A cluster of females stood immediately, it didn’t matter. One of them, a tall redhead with bruises between her thighs, gave Ava a chilling wink before walking off barefoot and bare-skinned into the hall of horror. As soon as the door shut behind them, the waiting room was filled again with the Pavilion’s sounds—moaning, gasping, and then a scream so sharp it seemed to cut through the stone and split Ava’s soul. Few minutes passed by and the door soon opened again, and the handler who had called upon thirty slaves some moments again came back in, everyone went mute, as she called .
