Captured by the Alpha King

Captured by the Alpha King

The sight before Lisa was both haunting and macabre. Two lifeless bodies lay sprawled on the forest floor, their contorted forms telling a tale of violence and death. The stench of decay hung heavily in the air, assaulting her senses and intensifying her feelings of horror and disgust. She approached cautiously, her steps hesitant, unwilling to disturb the grim tableau before her. The moon's feeble light cast eerie shadows, painting a ghastly portrait of the lifeless figures. Lisa's heart raced, her mind racing to comprehend the ghastly scene unfolding before her eyes.

The Final Cut

The Final Cut

After two days of high temperatures and intense boredom, he remembered the three books. Sam pulled out the one with the Mummy on the cover, because it looked the most innocuous. It was entitled the Ninth Pan Book of Horror Stories. He wasn’t the least bit prepared for what he found inside. The first three stories involved emasculation, murder and burning at the stake. In his fevered state Sam felt he was not only watching the characters’ suffering, he was experiencing it along with them. He flung the book at the wall and then hid it again, wishing he could burn it like Jinnot, the young girl in the third story who was burned alive.

"He's one of the most infamous, but compared to some of the other men in that book, and women, he was child's play." "I didn't think you'd be interested in something like this." "It's basic psychology, Comrade. We're interested in the macabre and gruesome." She explained. "It's why horror sells, things like bloody video games exist because of it, and, of course, violence. We're fascinated by it. I'm going to guess when you picked up that book, you were hesitant to open it and find what was inside, but you did anyway, and you were drawn in."

Romancing the Horror

Romancing the Horror

His wrinkled face looked like it was crawling with countless wriggling worms. I shuddered and stepped back, whispering to Silvia, "Good thing I've got you. This place is terrifying." She snorted and suddenly shoved me forward, straight toward George. With an icy laugh, she said, "This pretty boy will make a great offering. You're going to love him." Before I could react, George gestured, and several eerie puppets stepped forward to pin me down and drain my blood. A sharp bell rang out, echoing through the night.

Dark Journal

Dark Journal

Her professor spoke about atmosphere, about dread, about the way good horror never announces itself. Caelith sat in the third row and took notes and tried to ignore the fact that she felt, the entire time, like something in the room was slightly wrong. Not wrong enough to name. Just wrong enough to notice. She kept her eyes on her notebook and told herself it was the headache.

Dark Honor volume 1

Larry got home that evening and felt sick; losing his Job would be the least of his worries; he would have to face Lucifer Morningstar sooner or later, and from what he heard, those who have faced him never lived to tell the tale. He had a thudding headache, eyes closed against the dull pain. The back of his skull throbbed like a whore's heart; he bit out a curse and moved his hand to inspect the damage – except that it didn't move. Something was restraining his arms. His legs, too, were immobilized, as he noticed when he tried to get up. So he was lying prone. The violent hum of electricity streaking through the air assaulted his battered head, calling forth a grimace of agony. A steady dri

From what I hear, they seem to value it very highly. When he finally stops, I also stop at a particularly thick book called Werewolves, Spires, and Shifters: Complete Edition. On the front is a picture of a menacing werewolf ready to devour a human and a human fighting a truly horrible Shifter with a strange spear. I pull it off the rest, hiding it behind me.

Iridian

Iridian

I stayed with Adley in her small living room, watching horror movies about creatures that didn’t exist in this world, until darkness smothered the outside world, peeking in through the sheer curtains that made their living room feel all too exposed. “Zombies always give me the creeps.” Adley shuddered, “There’s something so scary about coming back from the dead, having your face and limbs rot like that. Bleh, no thank you.” “I can’t be afraid of zombies, not when things like ghouls and Librarian’s exist.” I let out a hearty laugh, trying to imagine a hoard of zombies maneuvering through the forest at night.

Amy
Such a well written book and the story really drags you in, I’ve enjoyed reading this so much and hope a sequel comes out. I really feel this book should be printed, I’d read it over and over again. The book is long but it’s well worth it.
Therese Dahlqvist
The author has a fantastic ability to keep me on the edge of my seat and a great ability to describe the scenery around the characters. I find the characters to be mostly well defined and consistent throughout the book. There are some typos and incorrect grammar, but not enough to disturb me complet
