Good Modern Romance Books Novels & Stories

This is home for me as a writer, and I intend to keep building worlds and couples and slow-burn chaos for as long as readers keep showing up for it. And you keep showing up. Every comment, every vote, every reader who stayed up later than they meant to because they had to know what happened next — I see it, and it means more than a like button can really convey. GoodNovel exists because of readers like you, and honestly, so do I. Indie romance survives on word of mouth, on one reader telling another reader "you have to read this," and every single share, follow, and review genuinely moves the needle for someone like me writing outside a big publishing machine.

The man was a billionaire and could pay for anything he wanted as long as he could get it. I moved close to the books and tried reading some of their titles. They were mostly novels, and a little gasp fled my lips when I saw my favorite dark romance series, sitting on the shelf. The Ryan Rule by Sadie Kincaid. I loved the four books of that series so much, and although I’ve read them all, I wouldn’t mind re-reading them again. I didn’t have the money to purchase the books so I borrowed from a schoolmate. But now they were here.

She moved her fingers to every book in the shelves but stopped as her eyes were stuck with something. "What?! This book," Kathy exclaimed as she picked one of the books and examined it. "How come it's here? Is Aaron fond of reading fiction and contemporary romance? How come?" Kathy inquired as she couldn't understand that the bad - to - the - bone devil will read such kind of novels. It's not realistic to think about.

“I’m sorry, but it’s true. Men think wiggling their eyebrows at us or doing what you were doing is sexy, but really, it isn’t, especially when you’re dressed like that.” I shrug and slump on the bed next to her. “I just thought it was romantic, you know?” She leans over to the side of the bed and pulls out a romance book from under the pillow. “Use this. It’s the best manual for what girls really like.” I take the book and study the cover. A man is kissing the neck of a woman whose blouse is slightly off her shoulder. “Blah,” I say and toss the book to the side. I actually think I’ve read it before.

I pulled one out, raising an eyebrow. "Really?" "Put that back." "The Duke's Dangerous Desire," I read aloud, grinning. "A Rake's Redemption. The Highlander's Captive Bride—" "Jameson." Her voice was sharp, but I could hear the embarrassment underneath. "Put them back." "I'm not judging," I said, turning to face her. "I'm just surprised. You kill people for a living, but you read romance novels?"
