Checking his wristwatch, “But I will wait until dawn. He must be asleep by now.” “Ok, brother. I’m heading to my room. It has been a long day for me.” “Freya,” he stepped forward. “Is there something you would like me to know? I don’t mean Piper’s death.” “No. Why?” “You act differently.” Of course, I do. Was glad my brother could sense it. “Everyone does, after losing a close friend. I want to have a rest. Goodnight.” I left a soft peck on his cheeks before rushing to my room.

He took in my appearance with a worried look on his face. “Take it easy on that water bottle will you?” He said walking past me to the fridge. I dropped the bottle down on the counter and wiped my mouth with the back of my hand. I saw my brother take out a soda and close the door, then his eyes landed on me. “What’s wrong?” He asked me. “Nothing.” I said quickly but I could tell that he did not believe me. So I decided to just tell a lie that was not exactly a lie. “I’m just exhausted.” I said.

I was feeling proud of how bold I sounded, until the back of my neck prickled, like I’d been targeted by some predator. Slowly, I turned my head and met a pair of chilling eyes. Leon? What was my brother doing here? He was sitting one row behind me, looking sharp in a tailored suit. His face was set in stone, eyes dark and cold. My heart lurched, and the fan sign I’d been holding slipped from my hand and hit the ground with a sharp smack. He lifted his gaze slightly, his voice low. “Half an hour. Get home.” Though the concert wasn’t even over, I slipped out.

How could I be so stupid! My phone buzzed in that moment and it was from Damien. It was a picture of him naked in his bed, his bed which was empty. "She's gone, don't worry." It read and my heart seemed to recede back to it's normal position in my chest. I let out a deep sigh of relief. However, I still could not rest as I walked back to the bed and sat down, why would I be mated to my brother!?

He scoffed, and I pushed into him without warning. This is going to be a long night

Paulo bellowed from below. Denver didn't even glance away from me. Just chuckled, low and unbothered. "Your brother's got shit timing," he murmured, voice dropping just for me. "But seriously, it'd be good to see you down there. Even for a little." My heart was hammering so hard I was sure he could hear it. I opened my mouth, nothing came out. Paulo's footsteps pounded up the stairs. "I'm serious, man, hands off!" Denver raised both hands in mock surrender, charger still in one. "Relax, just grabbing this," he called down, then flicked his gaze back to me, one last slow, burning look. "Think about it, yeah?"

I hope she’s doing well back home…. “I’m off to bed! Now that Aiv’s back safe and sound, I go get some sleep. I haven’t blinked an eyes since you disappeared, Aivy Daivy.” Nick snorted and headed upstairs to his room. “Oh! You’re just bluffing, Nicky boy. I know you so well.” I smirked. “Goodnight! And see you again, my sister’s saviorrrr.” my little brother sang, jumping two steps at a time on the stairs.
