17. Let's go on a picnic!

The next morning, I woke up to the sound of birds chirping right by my window. Apart from that, something had been tickling me around my arms. I groaned and opened my eyes slightly to see a baby spider running around my arm. I grunted. I would’ve been menaced by it a couple of days ago. But, I didn’t find it strange and disgusting anymore. I was used to watching it crawl down on its web and wander around our house. It still freaked the hell out of Nick though. He hated how it tickled every time it landed on his arms.

I waited till the little spider walked away from my arm and webbed its way down and snuggled back in my bed, holding my blanket closer, and buried my head in my pillow. “Winter is coming.” I chanted in a barely audible mumble. Not the motto used by House Stark though, I thought and stifled a laugh.
