Gothic Gargoyle Drawing Novels & Stories

She was somewhere around seven or eight, completely absorbed in whatever she was drawing, her tongue pressed to the corner of her mouth in concentration. I lowered myself carefully into a chair near her, mindful of my ribs, and looked at the paper. The drawing was full. Not in a crowded way, in a deliberate way, like she had a clear picture in her head and was working her way across the page with intention. As I bent down to pick it up, I realised it had fallen open to a specific page. The illustration staring back at me held me in place like a beast with its claws in my chest. It was a drawing of a monster with long, dried-up black hair, claw-like nails, and prominent fangs. Below the drawing was a single red drop of blood, as if it were dripping from the fangs. I narrowed my eyes, trying to decipher the ancient, jagged writing that surrounded the drawing:

Reasonably so, since the Dragomir Castle had a way of coming off as rather menacing to those who hadn't seen it before. Our stones were darker than most, giving off an almost blackened, scorched look at night and at the top of the main tower sat two massive dragon-shaped gargoyles. They were intricately carved with tails winding down the sides of the stone structure and gaping mouths that seemed to roar into the night. They were meant to signify strength and power, but their threatening features were only accentuated by the flashes of lightning in the distance.

Was this where the Vampires stayed during the full moon? There was a grey gargoyle statue in the center of the room. I walked over to the statue to analyze its details. The gargoyle crouched and had its mouth open. A pair of large fangs extended out of its mouth and its bat-like wings were spread out as if it was ready for flight. This gargoyle didn't have horns instead its ears elongated out of its head. Was this what Rachel referred to when she spoke about Vampires' transforming?

“I won’t repeat that twice.” Shawn angrily turned the same hand he had raised into a fist, tightening his fingers enough for his fingernails to draw blood from his skin. He ignored the pain, muttering a small whisper of magic. Rose saw the blood drops that fell on the floor began to shake as a creature pushed it body out from the floor. Rose shuddered when seeing the creepy eyes of the gargoyle but something was different with the gargoyle that he had summoned compared to the other gargoyles she had seen before!

The crimson liquid was completely absorbed into the gargoyle’s porous form, amplified by demon magic. A complex network of glowing, dark veins began to pulse violently beneath the stone surface, and the gargoyle’s heavy eyelids suddenly snapped wide open. It’s eyes were bloodshot, glowing, and completely menacing. A low, vibrating growl reverberated heavily through the mountain air, serving as both a ancient warning and a dark greeting to it’s threshold.
