Gothic Gargoyle Drawing Novels & Stories

A pot of incense was burning in the center of the thrones and the skulls of different animals hung on every side of the walls as fresh blood seemed to be coming out of their mouths. The burning candles were Black. Brown. And white... In that order. But for all the candles that were burning, the white had the dimmest light. Alice turned around frantically again and she saw letters, drawings, and carvings on every side of the wall. The drawing was of wolves, men, and a queen while the carving was of objects like the moon, stars, fangs, birds, triangles, and stars. The letters on the walls were ancient Gothic. It reads...

Imagine how many donuts or burgers I could get with all that money. Livi, who was beside me, was also mesmerized by the design of this room. Now, she was observing a pair of gargoyle statues displayed on the right and left sides of the door. There was a white gargoyle statue with blunt teeth and a radiant smile. I was sure from its shape that it was a gargoyle monster, but since when were gargoyles white and had a cute appearance with a radiant smile? "A peculiar artistic touch," I thought to myself as I looked at the two statues.

Jane sprawled several feet away, the candle dropping to the ground but stayed lit. The naked beauty motioned to the stunned woman. Seconds later a grey figure approached Jane. The six-foot creature had small bat wings, a wide mouth full of long sharp teeth, a muscular torso but small thin legs and arms, and claws on both hands and feet. A gargoyle! The beast grabbed the mature woman in one hand and reached for her clothes with the other. It laughed a gruesome and terrible sound as it preceded to tear off Jane's clothing. The thing left several claw marks upon her pale smooth skin.

The lab was very quiet for a moment. I moved to the far wall because standing still in a room that smelled the way this one smelled while processing what Kaelen was reading was not something my body wanted to do. The drawings stopped me. Crude, scratched directly into the stone rather than carved with any skill, but specific. Bodies in various states that I was going to file in the category of things I had seen and would deal with the feelings about later. Wolves. Figures with something flowing out of them that the artist had rendered as light, though whether they had intended it to look hopeful or terrible was genuinely unclear.

Its eyes, when they landed on me, shone with an alien intelligence. Gargoyle. I’d read the word a hundred times in the old archives, but nothing prepared me for the reality of it. The thing was power incarnate, built for war and worship. It shook itself, sending a cloud of stone dust into the air. Its gaze landed on me, then James, then the rest of the pack. It did not attack. Instead, it cocked its head, as if waiting for something. The arch behind it kept pulsing, the light growing brighter, and the pain in my chest swelling to a maddening pitch. I clutched at my sternum, fighting to stay upright. Lightning began to form around me, burning my skin in a wild electrical storm.

He looks like a nice older guy, dark skin with a few lines to show his age, a grey moustache and dark brown eyes that are crinkled with warmth as he looks upon his companion. His companion is the odder of the two. He’s a seven-and-a-half-foot tall Gargoyle, with deep blue-green skin. He’s wearing dark grey trousers which have long zips up the sides to allow him to get in and out of them, but no shoes, as his feet are wide and long with long claws. His hands are also long and have claws, but these look shorter, more like long fingernails. He’s also wearing a loose dark-blue hoodie, with slits cut into the back to allow his wings free. His wings are leathery and have hooked ‘claws’ on the top

Her captors had left her alone to write her report and she hadn't made any progress. What she did have was her research on gargoyles. She'd ventured into the dark web during her downtime at the cabin. What she'd found interested her. She wished she could do some experiments with Pete. They had defeated the goblin together, and that was a rare thing in gargoyle lore. Most gargoyles could fight goblins, but the elite ones could only defeat them with their fairy. Fairy.

Real gargoyles, of course, are living creatures, but difficult to distinguish from the stone ornaments which resemble them. A gargoyle can remain still for days. Yet they see and hear everything. Wonderful burglar alarms, and security guards. Should an intruder attempt to gain entrance to their building, they can swoop down, soundlessly, on wings hard as rock. They're resistant to magic, and damned hard to kill - not that I'd ever try. What can a pistol bullet do to a stone statue, except irritate it? Stonecutters and sculptors did booming business, turning out statues that looked as much like real gargoyles as possible. Would you take a chance, and try to rob a house that had a gargoyle on

Or maybe he is struggling with the loss of someone close to him, or maybe he has terrible nightmares each night and is looking for an outlet…I’m truly reaching at this point. Perhaps some of these explanations would make perfect sense, if it weren’t for the uneasy feeling in my stomach. The drawings are just so...unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Is Noah really like this? I can’t imagine he would be, from the times I’ve met him, but how could I gauge from those small moments what he is truly like? He’s drawn demon like creatures emerging from a smudge of darkness.
