The House of the Damned: Sin & Deceit (A Dark Romance)

The House of the Damned: Sin & Deceit (A Dark Romance)

I must have slept again because when consciousness pulled me back the highways had become something narrower, something older, flanked by trees that bent toward each other overhead in an arch that felt less like road and more like passage, less like driving through a place and more like being admitted to one. And then I saw it. Brocandale Manor tore through the darkness the way something genuinely large tears through darkness, not gradually but all at once, present suddenly where there had been nothing, its gothic silhouette against the sky enormous and unapologetic. Gables that reached upward with the specific ambition of Victorian architecture that understoo

Bound by blood and lies

Bound by blood and lies

The cathedral loomed like a ruin stolen from a dark god itself—gothic and towering, its obsidian towers piercing the sky, its stained glass windows glinting crimson under the moonlight. Ivy curled like dark veins over the stone, and iron torches flared with blue fire at its entrance, casting shadows that moved like spirits. It was truly something worthy of the dark underworld and the Rossi's had prepared it perfectly. My heartbeat thrummed in my ears as we stepped out of the car, cloaked in night and secrecy.

Stolen Luna By The Rival Alpha

Stolen Luna By The Rival Alpha

The cemetery held such a powerful mix of emotions—energy, sadness, and heaviness—that left me in awe. I moved the light over the area, revealing a towering tomb that dominated the back right corner. The moonlight cast eerie shadows, adding to the mystique. It was exactly where the star on the map had indicated. The name Gomez was carved into the highest point of the mausoleum in a font reminiscent of Old English. A small plaque on the side of the structure, covered in mineral buildup from years of weathering, displayed six names with middle initials.

A Queen Among Tempests

A Queen Among Tempests

I announce while doing my best to ignore the pull of our bond and the influence it has over my senses. “You’re quite keen on that, aren’t you?” he says dryly. We enter a very gothic-looking parlour with an eerie yet seductive atmosphere. The three sectioned windows look out towards the overcast side of the forest, filling the room with minimal light. Grand candelabras against the walls between the windows suddenly become a light, providing the room with a reddish glow. The walls and curtains are black as night, the floorboards are a warm brown and the rug features a disturbing design that looks more like it was once evidence at a crime scene. A classically des

Haunted

Haunted

“I believe you Polly, everything you said about this place is true…its haunted! At first I only felt it,but now… I have seen this evil with my own two eyes!” “Oh God!”Polly gasped. She wasn’t crazy after all.The last five months had been nothing but sheer torture.Even Royce thought she just had a fanciful imagination, but now her own sister had become privy to the manor's supernatural aura. What was this darkness clouding her marital home? What did it want? “I was getting dressed,”Ginny continued.”All of a sudden I felt the room grow cold.I thought I must have left the window open, but when I checked it was closed. The cold seemed to come from everywhere.”

Forsaken

Forsaken

Slowly, Abigail got up from her seat and walked towards the back corner booth, it was the only one with a window that looked out into the alley, she wanted to see what was going on. Abigail could not hear anything that was said, but she could tell the conversation was anything but calm. Suddenly she saw it, Mr.Goldbergs eyes flashed yellow, and Daniel’s flashed the color of midnight. She could believe what she had just seen. Abigail was completely engrossed as she watched pitch black wings extrude from Daniels back, he was the epitome of Death in its purest form.

The Hunter and the Vampire

The Hunter and the Vampire

I’d never hung around to inspect the dead bodies of the vampires we’d killed before, though, so reading up on what to look for was a necessity. Torre’s house was huge. It was an imposing stone structure, and it made me think back to the Gothic architecture that had inspired so many scary stories in the Victorian era. The front driveway was a labyrinth of neatly sheared bushes and pristine white gravel, and, without warning, the thought of hot blood hissing and spitting and soaking into the ground shot into the forefront of my mind. I shook myself, and the gravel turned back from red to white.

Relation-Shit: Bound to Alpha Brothers

Relation-Shit: Bound to Alpha Brothers

“Um… may I walk around for a bit? I would like to look around this mansion. It has been a long time since I saw a Gothic style building like this.” The older servant smiled and nodded. “Of course, Miss. If you need anything, just call us.” I nodded and stood up from the sofa. At first, I only wanted to ease my boredom while waiting for Kai, wherever he was. But the more I walked, the more this mansion pulled me in. Long corridors with shiny black marble floors, dark wooden walls filled with detailed carvings, and high ceilings that made every step echo. Ancient statues stood at every corner. Stone gargoyles with folded wings, marble angels with cold and unfrie

The Heiress' Return: Six Brothers at Her Beck and Call

The Heiress' Return: Six Brothers at Her Beck and Call

These were the ghosts of everyone who had ever trespassed on Grief Peak and were trapped here for centuries. They had become part of the mountain's horror—lures to draw the next fool to their death. The deeper Landon walked, the heavier the silence grew, and the more the horror pressed in. A smell hung in the air that defied description. It smelled like rotting flesh, moldering wood, the rank musk of predators, and underneath it all, a faint trace of something ancient and desolate that could only have come from Chaos itself. It was enough to turn a stomach inside out, but some unseen force held it trapped within the forest, not allowing a single wisp to escape beyond the mountain.

I wouldn’t bother reading. The author has dragged this out and made the storyline almost unrecognizable from what it was portrayed. Instead of focusing on the lost child and the reunion with the family they have introduced stupid plots to drag the story on- and on- and on- and on!

the storyline is amazing. Love the FL. She is strong, fierce, righteous and so unaware. Landon is amazing, so supportive and heart warming tho feel sad for him he is unappreciated. I wish Fiona the best and hope she gets true love Owen never deserved her. Love grandpa Warren and Barron. It's amazing

Runaway Luna Rider

Runaway Luna Rider

Then I let my wolf’s strength flow through me again, gripping the lock and twisting until metal gave way with a soft crack. The room beyond was grand in a way that made the banquet hall look simple. Dark wood paneling covered the walls, carved with symbols I didn’t recognize. A massive bed dominated one side, its posts reaching toward a ceiling painted with scenes of hunts and battles. Candles burned in holders shaped like reaching hands, their flames casting dancing shadows. Heavy curtains blocked out the moonlight, making the space feel like a cave decorated by someone with too much money and too little humanity. Gothic. That was the word. Like stepping into
