“We are gathered here today in the presence of God to honor the life of a man who walked this earth with purpose, a man whose journey, though now ended, leaves behind memories that will remain in the hearts of those who loved him. Death is not the end, but a passage, a transition from this world to a place where pain and suffering no longer exist, and though our hearts are heavy with grief, we must remember that the Lord gives and the Lord takes away, and blessed be the name of the Lord.”
