Great Books Under 300 Pages Novels & Stories

I'm gonna choose one to three books only, I can't handle reading multiple books at a time. I walk through the billionaire genre sub-section which is clearly inscribed on the long shelf admiring each book I see. I pick up each of the books the book cover and title attracts me to scan through, for some attempting to scan through the main body to check if there's anything that interests me. At last I end up taking down with me three books, which suit my taste at this particular time. Pride of the Billionaire Bachelor, 1095 Days of Dangerous Temptation and Second Chance for the Billionaire.

Most of them have only one picture on the page and are a quarter of the size of a regular book. "Shit." I say quietly. "I can't believe it still costs ten bucks for a book that only has six pages. I can get a two hundred page paperback at the grocery store for the same price." Tiffany smirks. "But does your two hundred page paperback have fur like this touchy-feely book with a tiger on the front?" "It has fur?" I grab it out of her hands and begin going through it, touching all the different pictures as I turn the pages.

If one is not interested in reading the whole book, he/ she can opt to read the brief writing and bam! "What are you reading? Besides the textbook." The change in subject threw me. "Um, I just finished The Stand by Stephen King." His eyes lit up. "The Stand? That's over a thousand pages. You actually finished it?" "I've read it three times," I admitted. "Three times?" He looked genuinely impressed. "Most people won't even read it once because of the length." "The length is part of the appeal," I said, feeling slightly more confident talking about books. "You get to live in that world for longer, get to know the characters so deeply. It's like being part of something bigger than yourself."

Now he’s staring at it incredulously. “What?” “The Jeweled Path can’t be your favorite book.” He looks up from the paper. “Please tell me you’re joking.” “I’m not joking,” I say, nettled. “Have you read it? It’s brilliant.” “I wasted thirty valuable seconds of my life downloading it and skimming the first chapter.” He pulls a face. “I want those thirty seconds back.” “You obviously missed the point,” I say, offended. “It’s really insightful if you read it carefully.”
