Green Light

Green Light

Patricia AbisSecond Chance
Even if my eyes were open, I could still see her vividly. I arranged my pallet until everything was set, the only thing left to do is to get the brush and strike it in different ways to present her perfectly. White, Yellow Ochre, and Cadmium Red were inviting me, just by looking at them I knew I'd get her complexion seamlessly. Her skin is fair and glossy, like white sand radiating under the heat of the afternoon sun, or almonds blanched and then peeled. I'll add Cerulean for her blush.

But as they say, you can't promise anything. I looked at Damien. Will I ever fall for him? Maybe. Maybe not. Damien opened his mouth, "As odd it may sound but I'm curious to know, where does Li get the color of her eyes?... You have hazel eyes while Mr Woods have blue but Li, hers are forest green ." Forest Green ? I remembered yesterday when he mentioned forest green, "Orange." I looked up at him, "what's yours?" He shrugged his shoulders, "Forest green."

17 January 2014 Green – the middlemost color in the spectrum is also representative of life itself. It is presumably the product of the transition of colors from fiery red to ambivalent orange then mellow yellow. To continue this illustration, let us also assume that blue must be the color of freedom, indigo for righteous anger and indignation and violet for all our grievances, frustrations, and misgivings. Colors are just varying shades of gray perceptible to the eyes, discounting any visual impairment, of the animal species and the rest of the image-capturing gadgets. These tints and hues are only appreciated in the presence of light since its absence would

But I definitely did not eye-rape him. "I am so sorry." I mumbled. Is the universe against me or something? "I wasn't looking and-" Okay, maybe I did a little bit of eye-raping. I mean, who could blame me? He's gorgeous. He has sandy blonde hair with some brown highlights. His face is just... pure perfection. Then I realised something that made me frown. Something that made memories of him come back. His eyes were a shade of forest green. Forest freaking green. Ashton. Oh god. I'm not even kidding, I am going to cry.

Called by the Dragon

Called by the Dragon

With a grunt, she dragged it around herself, using all her strength to fight its thrashing and slash at its neck right under the frill for a clean kill— Green. Vibrant, breathtaking green, a cross between the hue of a pure emerald and the green of verdant grass and clovers in the lushest of meadows. Then clear blue water, sparkling under the sun, a whole pool of it under the shade of drooping palm trees with fronds as large as she was tall—

The plot is thrilling from the start and I had to pace myself to avoid reading through the night. I often wanted to dive into the characters' minds myself to punch some sense into them, proof of how perfectly Mana designed them. This book deserves a thousand stars, not the mere five GN allows.

That was one epic adventure. The world was rich, detailed, full of amazing characters, and the story drew me in its tight grip and never let me go. I am a true fan of this author, it's characters, and it's story line. This was a true experience.

VOWS OF DESIRES (DS1)

VOWS OF DESIRES (DS1)

Uh, never mind. "Green," I replied tersely. I noticed he didn't respond or even nod; his attention remained fixed on the road as he drove. I rolled my eyes. "Green is my favorite color, Bryle," I repeated, thinking perhaps he hadn't heard me initially. Still, he didn't respond, his focus unwavering from the road, as if he hadn't heard me at all. I was starting to feel a tinge of irritation. "Didn't you hear me? I said green! Matcha, avocado, kiwi, cactus, bamboo, broccoli, watermelon, clover, grass, cucumber, celery, turtle, grasshopper, tree—" He interrupted my tirade.

After My Last Breath

After My Last Breath

We have nothing left to lose because we have nothing left, period. "We'll go with the green one," Mom says firmly. "My gut says the other one is deliberately plain just to confuse us. The miracle drug must be the one that looks a bit more... unusual. Think about it. Green has always been used to represent evil in literature, and they’ve intentionally made the miracle drug green because they want us to associate it with something sinister, rather than a cure-all. The other one looks plain, almost like holy water—but that's exactly the trick, right? They want us to believe the plain one is the true
