Teeth and claws and punches thrown at one another against the roof of two huge snow-covered branches. As I rested my head on the tree behind me, I realized that Gregor wasn’t really just meaning to protect me—he’d been hunting down these Rogues for killing. I can even see in his eyes and the way his body moves that he’s willing to bury them all beneath the snow and at the bottom of the icy running river. I heard the other Rogues escaping back to the other side of the same river. Gregor strode towards me as he knocked down the leader, relishing every step as if he were walking into his summit of victory and I am the prize to be claimed at the top.

We were too caught up in each other to notice. Gregor smirks and looks past me. “Return home. The time has not yet come,” Gregor commands in a bombing voice. A stampede of sounds and the earth shakes as they all sprint toward the mountain, leaving Gregor to fend for himself. “That was but a sixteenth of my forces. There’s many more where they came from.” Gregor says and laughs hysterically. “What is it you want?”

Raven's POV My mind is still racing, running through the potential consequences of Gregor’s words. He was indeed a true servant. But then something else hits me—a sudden wave of realization. Luca. I can’t ignore him anymore. He’s been growing stronger. He’s been taking territory. The first clan was just the beginning. He defeated Dorian,who must be in the dark now.

And it had made her vulnerable not only to me, but to every old-style wolf who opposed change. I would use that. I would take her new strength and turn it against her. The meeting was conducted on neutral ground, a hunting lodge that had once been my father’s. Gregor was a large wolf, easily six and a half feet at the shoulder, with iron-gray fur save for his ruff which stuck around his neck like a shaggy vice, looking everyone over to decide if they were threats or resources. I’ve been waiting for that moment. I tried using Roger’s bloodied sweater in order to track the rogue werewolf but it isn’t simply enough. Following the scent could only lead me to a trap and that’s why I’m more than willing to use Roger as a bait. When I got into my apartment, I heard howling, lots of different howling. They were unfamiliar most probably coming from other packs but there was one distinct howling coming from one specific person that I immediately recognized. It was from Roger Willis. It’s about time for his lunar awakening and I must get to him before the rogue werewolf does.

On his neck, at what was hanging on it. Aldonra's face hardened, her calm demeanor disappearing in a flash. She bared her teeth in a snarl, her gaze intense and almost deranged. She raised the soul high up so Kat could see clearly, only to have it hiss and smoke before her eyes. Gregor's outline was getting blurry. He slowly sank back into a faceless, nameless entity that could have belonged to anyone. The matter that made up his body became more and more sheer, like the last sands falling into an hourglass.

The man who brought the chains walked away while the other, Gregor who I am supposed to fight starts to shift into his wolf. "Oh and of course, aim for the kill!" Sirus laughed just as Gregor shifted into a dark huge beast, snarling and snapping his jaw, his claw in the air as he pounced on me with a deadly force.

He couldn't have… "Don't worry, I didn't fuck you while you were asleep. I was going to… but I don't like my women dirty. Plus, I was hoping to hear you scream when I finally put my hands on you!" From his cackle and dry yellow eyes, I could tell he'd been in the wild for ages now. He was a rogue, an insane lunatic who would do anything to feel something. A connection he could only feel in a pack. I scoffed as his eyes ran through my body hungrily, "Even if you forcefully take me it won't do anything. All you need is redemption… A meaningful bond with—" "— Shut up!" I felt a rough tug on my chin and the nasty breath of the oldie in my face.
