Gregor The Overlander Novels & Stories

he stopped, shutting his eyes. “But what? Answer me!” “But… there are dangers along the way.” “Dangers? What dangers?” I demanded of him. The doctor turned his gaze toward the roof. “Wild wolves, rogue werewolves and the cold.” “The cold? I’m not scared of the cold. I am not scared of rogue werewolves either or wild wolves.” I could hear Lilith's heartbeat as I said those words. Each word made her heart skip a beat as her face twisted, and she frowned more, the next deeper than the first. She began to pace around and would not stay still.

Slowly, he began to move backwards at a slow pace that he felt would be consistent with the degree of effect he had predetermined. The ogre did not possess a profoundness consciousness that was well attuned. In a desperate bid to reach Darwin, it focused in on its visual prey as it galloped down the arena towards him. The ogre had long lost its ability to perceive the environment. It moves with the naivete of a baby, ignorant of what is ahead but ready to seize whatever opportunity presents itself. It was unable to assess the sluggish activity that its victim was engaged in.

I swear not even a cockroach can get past that guy. Jared was the son of an omega female and a beta male. I say was because his parents died during an NC attack (nightcrawler). He's worked his arse off to be the beta of his pack today, and goddess knows how proud I am with what he's accomplished. Still, if my father saw him associating with me in our house where he'd forbidden anyone to enter, no doubt he would have killed him. There's no questioning how merciless and cruel my father could be, and that's precisely how the pack is named after him. The Cruelcrest Hounds Pack.

He bent down and picked up his clothes and started to get dressed himself. "That's the thing..." Connor said hesitantly, "There's no other Rogue packs out there. Godfried is he Alpha of the only one." "Since we're Rogues, no pack will take us in. No pleading with the Werewolf King will help." Winston said, his gaze stern as he approached Aiden. He didn't realize how tall and filled out Winston had gotten over the years. He stood toe to toe with him, "We came here because we want you to be our Alpha."

, Monte said her name slowly, as if he was sampling it on his tongue. "I'm Skywalker, by the way", the guy that had dragged Leo away introduced himself. "Nice name", Meghan said. When he looked at her like he expected her to say something more, she added. "I like it" "That's it?",he asked her. What else did he want her to say? Meghan thought. "Do you need a translation into another language?" "No, nah. But hold up, have you ever watched Guardians of the galaxy?" "Yeah" He cocked his head.

I had failed Adeline, failed Belle, and now it felt like I was failing the entire pack. Elijah opened his mouth to respond, but before he could, a booming voice cut through the tense morning air. "Roman!" Gregor Ironfang's growl rang out loud enough to make the wolves on the training grounds pause. The bastard strode toward me, his heavy boots crunching against the dirt. The sunlight glinted off his broad shoulders and the faint scars that crisscrossed his arms, reminders of a hundred battles fought—and survived. Behind him, a group of his loyalists trailed, their eyes burning with quiet anticipation.

“Just trust me. He won't hurt you.” I narrowed my eyes at him. “He is a wolf.” “Yes, and his name is Alfus. I promise he won't hurt you.” Gregor looked at me. His eyes almost pleading for me to just accept what he said. I decided to humor him for the time being, but I wanted to know so many things about this strange man and strange place that had come into my life. But my instincts told me I needed to go slowly. Gregor:

“But we are not helpless. Zach sent those coordinates. Xander’s men are loyal. We have a thread.” I stared at the seam where Zach’s paper was tucked. My wolf thudded at the edges of my mind like a caged animal. I’d felt him — Gregor — out in the northern wilds when the mist took him. I had felt the tremor in the bond, a low, angry growl that tasted of blood and promise. Sheer thought of him—alive, fighting, murdering Black Fang wolves in my name—both steadied and shredded me.

Teeth and claws and punches thrown at one another against the roof of two huge snow-covered branches. As I rested my head on the tree behind me, I realized that Gregor wasn’t really just meaning to protect me—he’d been hunting down these Rogues for killing. I can even see in his eyes and the way his body moves that he’s willing to bury them all beneath the snow and at the bottom of the icy running river. I heard the other Rogues escaping back to the other side of the same river. Gregor strode towards me as he knocked down the leader, relishing every step as if he were walking into his summit of victory and I am the prize to be claimed at the top.

We were too caught up in each other to notice. Gregor smirks and looks past me. “Return home. The time has not yet come,” Gregor commands in a bombing voice. A stampede of sounds and the earth shakes as they all sprint toward the mountain, leaving Gregor to fend for himself. “That was but a sixteenth of my forces. There’s many more where they came from.” Gregor says and laughs hysterically. “What is it you want?”
