Her Inamorato's Obsession

Her Inamorato's Obsession

Ethan replied, his attention still focused on what he was retrieving from the fridge. 'POOL!!' The word reverberated in Lily's mind, striking like lightning. It was the one place she hadn't searched yet. Her necklace might have fallen into the pool during the chaotic night, and that could be where it was now. Quietly setting down her glass of water on the top of the bar. Lily got up and left through the French door that led to the backyard. A scene of serene beauty unfolded before her: a sprawling modern retreat with a massive swimming pool as its centerpiece. The water sparkled invitingly, surrounded by lush greenery, lounge chairs, and soothing ambient lighting.

Mated to the Apex Three

Mated to the Apex Three

I wore no black iron collar, Morrigan’s lie had forced Grendel to assume the collar had been temporarily removed for repairs, but my raw neck was clearly visible, bruised and scabbed. "Don't look at the bars, girl," Grendel muttered nervously, his hand trembling as he held a wooden torch high above his head. He stopped at the iron archway leading into the damp, narrow drainage trench. "Keep your eyes on the floor. Take the wooden scraper and the bucket. Clear the dried blood from the central drain channel and get out before the noon horn sounds." "Yes... Master Grendel..." I rasped out, keeping my voice weak, pathetic, and broken.

The Lycan Tsar’s Rejected Crown

The Lycan Tsar’s Rejected Crown

The air grew damp and heavy, thick with the scent of wet stone, mineral water, and old magic. At the bottom of the descent, he pushed through a pair of heavy bronze doors etched with worn runic seals. The cavern beyond was silent, bathed in a soft, silver illumination from three glowing sun crystals suspended high above. In the center of the vast chamber lay a perfectly circular pool of midnight-black water. Its surface was so still it looked like polished glass. The Mirror Pool.

The Dark Lord's Mate.

The Dark Lord's Mate.

Then, emerging through the dim glow of moonlight, a vast pool appeared before her. Aurora's eyes widened. There’s a pool here? She had roamed the castle grounds many times, yet she had never come across this hidden oasis. Draven stopped, turning to face her with a smirk. “You brought me to a pool?” Aurora asked, surprise lacing her tone. Draven arched a brow. “Are you hesitant? Don’t tell me you don’t like pools.” “Oh no, not at all,” she quickly replied. “I love pools. I’m just surprised. Your birthday is going on, and you—”

The Secretly Rich Man

The Secretly Rich Man

muttered Gerald with a wry smile as he shook his head. Following that, he gathered some strength in his palm before blasting the concentrated energy at the cornerstone! Upon hitting its mark, the blue crystal sphere rolled to the side and the stone platform ended up shattering to pieces in an explosive sound, causing the liquid in the pool to immediately flow out! “Let’s see how arrogant you can continue being after taking this away from you!” sneered Gerald before picking the blue crystal sphere up and leaving the place for good. Meanwhile, Yreth—who had been busy commanding the rest of the Gunters in her search for Gerald—suddenly felt her heart palpitate, prompting her to shudder and shou

It's a good book as far as I have read so far. I'm getting discouraged, though. I'm running out of patience and time for these types of stories. "Neverending" stories where some chapters repeat themselves for some reason or other drives me bunkers. Just saying. I prefer shorter stories.

The Immortal Prince

The Immortal Prince

"Follow me through here." Turning, I squeeze myself through the gap, emerging into the other side to reveal an astounding sight. "What is that?" Eyla gasps. I grin. "Exactly what I was looking for." Forged into the ground rock, is a small pool full of a rich, magical green liquid. Many shallow pools surround it, all full of this pristine substance. It emerges from a spot on the wall, dripping down slowly to the main pool, which drains into a crack in the floor. "Is this the eternal life thing? If so, I may have a long life span, but I'm going to need to keep up with my pureblood boyfriend." Eyla steps forward, the reflection staining her skin.

His Hidden Luna

His Hidden Luna

His words were steady, but the tension in his voice betrayed the fear he refused to show. The first chamber they entered was circular, carved from black stone that shimmered faintly with a strange light. In the center, a pool of water reflected the glow of the torches, rippling as if something beneath it moved. Aria knelt, placing a hand above the surface. The water shimmered, and then images appeared, flickering like firelight: wolves running under a silver Moon, shadows twisting in the shape of serpents, figures cloaked in darkness whispering to one another.

Rejected to be His Luna

Rejected to be His Luna

Awestruck, I gaped at the pool. I looked at my hands that wouldn’t burn anymore and then at Morfan, who was peering at my hands with questions written all over his face. “As expected, you indeed possess Natural magic. This is definitely not a coincidence…” “How do you know about it?” I walked closer to him. “I may not answer all your questions. I am bound by vows and promises, but I will tell you just enough for Alpha to recover. This pool is known as the Healer Stagnum. Except death, this pool can cure anything. But it needs a constant supply of magic.”

Absolutely loved reading this and I’m hoping there will be sequels that will answer some of the questions about some of the characters and what’s happened to them. Love the twists & turns plus it’s not a predictable plot. It’s not like other books so it’s refreshing.

Fated to More Than One

Fated to More Than One

Her hands are out beside her, and her feet are spread. She’s been crying. Her face a red puffy mess with snot hanging from her nose, over her lips and down her chin. She’s whimpering softly as she looks to Gretchen, who is back before her, chanting in her language that I cannot understand. Before Gretchen is a small table with a small black cauldron with a bubbling concoction of liquid threatening to spill out. There’s an ancient-looking book with a black dagger long enough to enter someone’s body and exit the other side. It has a small gem at the top that’s sparkling bright despite no lights on inside the hut.

Mend My Broken Heart

Mend My Broken Heart

The once tranquil pool now resembled a maelstrom of despair, its depths beckoning with the weight of countless memories. "Elain! Hold on!" Richard shouted, trying to anchor himself to a nearby tree. But the tree's form began to waver, dissolving into shadowy wisps, succumbing to the pool's overwhelming pull. I clutched the Lumina Crystal, hoping its light could pierce through the darkness. As its glow intensified, a protective barrier began to form around us. But even as it shielded us from the immediate danger, a haunting vision took shape within the barrier.
