I wanted to reach out and pull Griff away from the dangerous deity, but the fury radiating off him told me to leave the men to their posturing.

Athena stood before her people and as soon as she saw Alex coming out of the palace, she cleared her throat and began. "I have called you all here today for a reason which most of you have an idea about. The reason is that we have finally caught the culprit who tried to kill me." A few gasps were heard. But no one said anything. Athena spared Alex a glance before turning back to speak to the people. "As we all know, Griffin was killed for overstepping his boundaries.
