Haley smiled. She was wearing a fuzzy, white, sweatshirt over black leggings with a small pink purse with gold and white highlights hanging from her neck diagonally on her hip. Her flowy, brown hair had been straightened and pulled behind her ear, letting her petite nose and chin shine. Her green eyes gleamed with mischief as she saw Selena holding onto Samson. Sneakily, she elbowed her. “What happened to never falling in love with the hot alpha?” Haley teased. “I’m not in love with him!!!” Selena roared.

“Jaxy, aren’t you gonna introduce me to your friend?” Theo’s brow cocks up as he swings his gaze to me, mouthing ‘Jaxy’ and snickering. Jax’s wolf flashes silver in his eyes and he looks like he’s about to protest, so I go ahead and jump in, flashing the girl a smile and extending my hand. “Hey there. I’m Reid.” She places her dainty little hand in mine, batting her eyelashes. “Juliet.” “My sister,” Jax quickly adds with a scowl.

Hailey bit her lips with hurt as she gazed away from Priscilla. “The new fashion queen for this month is…” there was suspenseful music and everyone was on their toes. Hailey arched her brows and checked her watch. Could they be done yet? “Hailey Hazard!” The host announced and everyone cheered. Hailey was shocked. She had her hands over her lips in shock. There was no way! There was no freaking way! Really?! “I knew you could do it,” Ryan told her in a cheerful tone as he clapped nonstop for her. She smiled and walked up the stage to collect her crown and stache. She gazed at the crowd in pride and wished her mum was there to see.

I'm not sure what I'm looking for, but as long as I'm not looking back to match Rylan's scrutinising gaze, I'm fine. "You know, I would like to meet the Moon Goddess eventually." "She goes by Millicent." "That's useless to know if I never actually meet her," I retort, deciding that the only thing in the fridge I might like is an apple. Now people are going to know what I had for breakfast.” Logan laughed. “As long as it’s not pancakes with too much syrup, you’ll be fine.”

So Haley did the only thing that made sense. She went live. "Haley," Katherine said through comms with the deadly calm of someone managing seventeen disasters and adding an eighteenth to a spreadsheet, "explain why I am seeing your face on every public channel." Haley adjusted the cracked phone camera, wiped blood from her cheek, and smiled at two billion, four hundred million viewers. "Because myth feeds on recognition, and I am about to ruin its branding." Aaliyah made a sound like a woman watching arson become art. "I support this felony."

The woman was dressed in a long bright red dress that accentuated her curves, and her honey brown hair highlighted her elegance. Her every move exuded the aura of an international star.
