Part One: Eyes of the Wolf Jamie Dalton lifted the grocery bag filled with Halloween candy and took a moment to inhale the aroma drifting from it. For most people Christmas was their favorite holiday but Jamie had always loved Halloween. From the time she was nine years old she made up fanciful stories about the night, stories of goblins and ghosts and all manner of creatures. As she got older the stories became more intricate, the characters more detailed. By the time she was an adult she was weaving in erotic scenes and drooling over the heroines she created.

Harold asked while watching his men work, unaware of the dark figure now standing behind him. The creature panted, inhaling the delicious smell of blood coming from his prey. He licked his lips in hunger, eager to drain every one and gain back his strength and beauty. While Claire was busy with her phone, she was unaware of what was happening behind her because it happened too fast. One moment, there were eleven men working on lifting the tomb to the track, and in just a blink of an eye, everyone turned to nothing but skin and bones, completely drained of their blood.

I stare at the approaching road as I drive from the center of town back home, and I occasionally sip on a coffee I made and poured into a travel mug, but nothing seems to cure my grogginess. Halloween is around the corner and all the businesses around the lake have decorated their storefronts for the holiday. Webs line windows with giant spiders, skeletons stand at attention to usher customers inside, and the dentist's office has a window painting of three witches around a bubbling cauldron with a written offer to trade in candy at a dollar per pound.

Nathan’s response was to kiss her back and carry her into the packhouse as everyone else whistled and made smoochy noises at them. About a week later, the two pack lands were unrecognizable. The two packs had gone all out for Halloween. The forest the two packs shared was now a haunted forest with skeletons, ghosts, trolls, witches, vampires, and whatever else you could think of hanging and hiding everywhere. The neighborhoods were now called The Haunted Territory and every single house was decorated with spooky decorations. There were so many different decorations of all kinds everywhere you looked. Even the packhouses were decked out for Halloween. The old abandoned packhouse in the middle

Suddenly, Adrian realized that these individuals indeed harbored ulterior motives. Adrian expanded his awareness, and the sight before him left him speechless. The entire hall was now teeming with an array of ghosts and monsters. Among them were towering old men with only one eye, lanterns swaying on a single leg, malformed boys with just one limb each, women clad in white exuding a bone-chilling aura, and skeletal figures draped in human skin...

3. The night had grown chilly, announcing the early arrival of the winter. Halloween marked the end of summer, a joyous occasion where families spent time together before the dark, cold winter arrived. In the ancient days, when winter was filled with deaths from famine, people used to believe the boundary of the worlds between the living and dead blurred on this day. They believed the otherworldly spirits slipped into the human world as the veil came down at nightfall.

Crowburn. The town is said to have been built right above hell itself. "There is a myth about this town that every 100 years on Halloween night, demons from the very pits of hell come up to the earth and roam the streets, blending into the disguised populous searching for the perfect bride for their Prince. The Prince of Darkness himself. It is believed that the women die as they are never seen again, and every year, the demons return for more women." the woman speaking, my grandma pursed, taking a sip of water before continuing.

Cheryl nodded. "The witch is very far away. In the past, there was a beautiful princess from the kingdom of Onion who wanted to wash gold in the river. The Princess met a pumpkin, in the shape of gold too, the Princess took the pumpkin to eat, mistaking it for Halloween." "Then continue." Faaza urged. Meanwhile, Cheryl had to rack her brain again because of her original composition. "Do you know Halloween? Uh, it's scary. They like to bite small children, but their teeth are toothless hihi."

Halloween always brought out the weirdos, but I didn’t expect to be one of them, out here alone in the middle of nowhere, the air thick with the scent of damp earth and decay. My boots crunched on the gravel path, the barn looming ahead, its weathered wood silhouetted against the crimson sky. The rumors called it haunted, a place where people vanished on Halloween night, but I figured it was just small-town nonsense. Still, my heart pounded, a mix of adrenaline and unease. The wind rustled the corn, whispering like it was alive, and I swore I heard something—a low growl, deep and primal, cutting through the night. I froze, camera dangling, my breath visible in the chilly air. The growl came

“Fine, we’ll let Hellfire tell us a ghost story.” “I don’t know any ghost stories,” I say. “What about you, Siren?” Venom asks her. “Nope.” “Well, then, it’s time the two of you become good at making up stories,” Intrigue says. For the next couple of hours, while Hacker and Sphinx work in the van, the rest of us make up ghost stories. I have to admit, Raptor is really good at making up scary stories and Intrigue is as well. Megan’s aren’t terrible, but Venom’s are, as they said, pretty stupid. I’m not sure mine are any better, but I made up one about the ghost that lives in the river, and it made everyone glance at the river we’re sleeping beside more than once.
