When I got to the walk, I saw Halia coming up the street, her phone pressed to her ear. She waved and held up a finger.
I waited for her to reach me while Jim kept diligent watch for any danger lurking near me.
Halia pocketed her phone just as she reached me.
“I have a Luna request for a death walk,” she said. “I told them I would see if you were up to it being so close to your due date.”
“Oh, posh,” I said, flicking my wrist. “I’m still weeks away. Of course I’ll do it. When?”
