The Alpha In My Dream

The Alpha In My Dream

My hands were trembling as I flipped through the pages, the scent of old paper and ink filling my senses. I had already read the coroner's report. I had already seen Elder Crowe's signature. But now, I wasn't looking for the cause of death. I was looking for a date. I began to scan the administrative logs of the previous pack, the records of the deaths that had occurred in the months leading up to my father's passing. My eyes darted across the lines of cramped, elegant script. Death of Martha Grey... accidental fall...Death of Thomas Reed... old age...Death of Elena Vance...

Into His Darkness

Into His Darkness

When it comes to Ravenna, I believe Hecate cares for her more than me. “Here, I was going to hide it back where I took it but now you are here, you should have it back, I want to clear all the debts.” I said and handed her the book. the book of dead. This should not come in hands of Diana or Ravenna either. Only Hecate could handle the power of it. She stared at me for a full long minute and then at the book before taking it back from me. she opened it and see through its pages before realization dawned upon her.

Hello lovely people! sorry for leaving you all hanging in middle of nowhere. I seriously didn't get time in past month to update for which I am really sorry. I will try to complete the story in this book only. Please be patient with me as I am recently acquainted to college life.

I'm guessing that English isn't your first language. Maybe it would be best to hire an editor? Some of the grammar mistakes make for a confusing read. I have had to re-read quite a few lines and guess the meaning with context clues. I'm intrigued with the story so keep it coming!

Where the Dead go to Die

Where the Dead go to Die

She cradled her handbag as she went. Steam seeped into the air from a nearby sewer grate. The side of the hospice barrier was covered in a lattice of graffiti, phalluses, smiley faces, names, and words that made no sense to Wanda on any level. She stopped to catch her breath, one of her strong hands against the wall. Through her fingers she read a small vignette: Time to go, no time to grieve. If it doesn’t end now we’ll never leave.

To love a Lich

To love a Lich

The whole lot cost him one silver piece, and he ate lunch in the Lounge at Mrs Shiff's Inn. After a lunch of rich rabbit stew with a thick creamy sauce and freshly baked rolls, he went up to his room and put his new books on the shelf. He did a little reading in " Words of Power, the art of nonvocal communication", and marked out a few chapters in " Healing Hands, A healer's guide to mending tissue and bone". He left " Lifeforce, awakening healing magic", and " The Healer's compendium of fatal afflictions" for next Sunday's reading.

Then, to the right, and at the end of a long row of books, one book jutted out from the shelf. I pulled it out. It didn’t have a name. It was a leather-bound volume, and its cover had a skeletal hand clutching a wilting rose. I opened the book, skimming through the pages. My stomach turned at some of the rituals inside. Selene was too arrogant, too vein, to resort to grave robbing, and there would be no need to stitch me together if her plan was to take over people’s bodies as she had before. The Binding.

Master of Life and Death

Master of Life and Death

Cassian said with a smile. "That's not all there is to it, of course. Something even stranger happened at Everstream," Amos said with a hint of mystery in his voice. "After those who died were buried, their graves were dug up the very next day, and their bodies went missing. What other explanation can you think of for that, besides the place being haunted?"

The Curse of Death

The Curse of Death

Evan smiled, and before anyone could anticipate it, he used the scalpel to stab himself in the heart. Standing beside Evan, I screamed and cried. Countless people walked through me to try and save Evan. Alas, he was indeed an exceptional medical examiner. He knew the fastest way to die. Evan's body continued to twitch slightly. In his final moment, I saw him pointing toward me with his finger. He seemed to have spotted me. Smiling, he closed his eyes, putting an end to the last of his lingering attachment to this world. The situation descended into chaos as another medical examiner shook his head, signifying to Henry that Evan was dead.

Two Ceremonies and a Funeral

Two Ceremonies and a Funeral

Yes, Luke just didn’t love me enough. Not long after, the funeral home staff arrived to take Monica’s body away. I carefully instructed them on all the details for the funeral day. Because on the day of Monica’s funeral, I will have already left the Wildfire Pack. Watching the car carrying Monica's body drive away, I bowed deeply, solemnly bidding farewell to the mother who had raised me. My wolf, Shadow, whispered in my mind, "Emma, it's time. Time to live for yourself."

The Wind in my Heart

The Wind in my Heart

Their explanation of tantra was truthful, if a little oversimplified. I squeeze my eyes shut and rub my temples. I need coffee, and by now the kids might have something for me, so I head back down to Chinatown, taking a detour into The Magickal Childe bookshop on West 33rd on the way. Of the stack of books I’ve spent my morning with at the library, the one title I’m fascinated by is the infamous Tibetan Book of the Dead, and now I wanta copy I can mark up. The shop is a cramped little hole in the wall that reeks of voodoo oils and herbs. Ceremonial swords and shelves of dusty glass jars cover the walls. A leather-bound copy of the Necronomicon takes pride of place in the display window and a

The Luna Queen's Rebirth

The Luna Queen's Rebirth

I crouched down and pulled it out halfway to get a better look. On the Matter of Souls: Death, the Afterlife, and Everything Between “Seems useful,” I muttered to myself and pulled it out. It was heavier than it looked. The cover was dark green, the papers gone yellow with age, and when I cracked it open, dust came flying up that made me cough and wave my hand in front of my face. The first page had a beautiful illustration of Death on it, although the ink had browned. I turned carefully to the table of contents and ran my finger down the list.

I commented on the last page of the story before it ended. After I submitted the comment, it put me back to chapter 1. The story was the Luna’s rebirth. How do I get back to where it was being serialized?
