Harry Potter And Daphne Greengrass Novels & Stories

It wasn't the weeping, terrified voice of a traumatized girl. It was smooth, sharp, and dripping with pure, dark, arrogant satisfaction. "I told you it would work, Victoria," Daphne’s voice echoed softly through the quiet conservatory. I froze. My hand stopped an inch from the brass handle. My blood turned into absolute liquid ice. I leaned in closer, my chest tightening so hard I could barely pull air into my lungs. Inside the moonlit conservatory, standing near the tall glass walls overlooking the rainy estate grounds, was Daphne.

They were everything she wasn’t — tall, lethal, unnaturally beautiful, and adored. Jaxon, with his quiet, razor-sharp presence that made even teachers nervous. Maddox, cocky and cruel, the one who could slice her soul open with just a word. And Kyren… the only one who ever hesitated. The only one who sometimes looked at her like she wasn’t trash. But he never said anything. Not when it mattered. Daphne slipped into her last class and exhaled quietly, pressing herself into the back seat. Just a few more days. She’d turn eighteen in two. And she’d be gone. No more school. No more taunts. No more triplets.

She spun on her heel and hurried away, her footsteps tapping the floor. Daphne dropped to her knees immediately. She hoped that if she looked busy enough with the apples, everyone would stop staring. No such luck. A pair of expensive, shiny leather boots appeared right in her line of sight, stopping beside one of the apples. To her absolute horror, her stomach sank when Griffith crouched down and picked it up, placing it gently into her basket. Daphne wanted to grab the remaining apples and run as fast as her legs could manage, but she kept to moving gracefully.

I follow her gaze to see him slouched on a seat alone, nursing a bottle of whatever that is, his hair is framed across his face, making him look like someone who hasn’t had proper sleep in days. “I’ll go check on him.” Arya says, slipping out of my hands. My body instantly goes cold the moment I am not holding her anymore, sighing, I watch as she saunters over to his side and seats in the chair facing him. His face brightens up a little as he talks to Arya; of course, my Arya has that kind of effect on everybody. The door opens and Daphne works in, cheeks flushed from the cold. Typical of her to wear a jumpsuit to a party, the moment she sees me, she waves in excitement, coming over to me.

The girl nodded but said nothing; she had, by all accounts, been dumb from birth. Rising, Miriam dismissed her, and walked along the passageway unchaperoned as was her wont. No-one was about. She expected they were all gathered in the Great Hall. Except for Queen Eleanor whose untimely death was still a cause for grief. Entering, she saw Daphne at once. Who could miss that bold yellow gown, the rubies adorning her ears and the elaborate hairstyle which must have taken Ruth hours to assemble?

Daphne looked at me, and she moved hesitantly to place the bouquet on the grave. "Hello, ma'am." Daphne looked trembling. She then sobbed and turned to hug me. Her body was trembling. "Why didn't you tell me!" Daphne exclaimed in my arms. I wiped away the tears that I could never hold back whenever I was in this place. I cried in Daphne's arms, and we hugged each other with tears rolling down our cheeks.

~DANE~ My screams echoed through the walls of my room as I clenched my fists tightly, drawing blood. Surprises abounded tonight. Not only did I discover that Daphne had survived and was now posing as Sapphire, but her survival threatened to ruin everything I had meticulously planned. How could she still be alive? They had brought me news of her death, prompting me to mate with Alexa quickly. Now, she was back in the arms of the War Alpha, the man I compete with. He had it all: money, fame, and power. It felt like she was rubbing it in my face, making me question why I had rejected her.

“I’m Alpha King Heir Damon Barlowe.” Gabriel gives the sign of respect, at least as well as he can manage to do so in his frail state. Frankly, I’m surprised he can stand. “How can our modest village help the heir to the throne?” “We’re looking for a woman who was kidnapped,” I say, not bothering to introduce myself but in too much of a hurry to care. “She has long, curly black hair and blue eyes. Have you seen her?” Gabriel neither confirms nor denies seeing Daphne, though a few of the people who are brave enough to walk up to us react as though they know who I’m talking about.

I cried as Emmett growled and I struggled to get out of my mates grip. "No Emmett I have to please." I cried. Emmett held me firm and it was then I saw Daphne run to the magic line suddenly. "Daphne." I cried as everyone froze. A purple light surrounded Daphne as she approached the circle around Carmen. We watched as a flash of light the weird floating grimoire appeared at her side and we watched in horror as Daphne hit the magic line and froze mid air. Time stood still as I watched her in horror flash backs to the moment I lost Sasha raced through me as I fell to my knees when I had been restrained then too. I wasn't going to watch another friend die.

The carriage jerked forward and stuttered into movement as Nicole leaned over Daphne, pulling out the vials of potion she usually carried with her. “You have to drink this–” Daphne screamed in terror, turning violently. Her power rushed past and cut into the interior of the carriage. Nicole lifted her carefully and met her gaze. “Look at me, Daphne,” Nicole said. “This potion will save your life. It will help you.” “Ba…by?” Daphne whimpered. “Yes,” Nicole said. “It’s you and his best chance.” Daphne nodded her head and opened her mouth, allowing Nicole to pour the potion into her mouth. She swallowed weakly until the vial was empty and Nicole lay her back on the ground. Daphne’s eyes flutter
