Chapter Twenty-four **** I should have known this day would come. From the moment Harry’s eyes met mine in the shadowed library corridor, something in me shifted. He wasn’t like the others. Harry threatened, pointing the gun at the side of Tessa’s head. A man in a military ceremonial dress suit stepped out of the crowd surrounding Harry and Tessa. It was none other than Graham Thompson, the military general.

A military camp? *********** "What?! For the whole summer vacation?! That's almost four months, Klo!" Hilary exclaimed and then she paced around the room in frustration. Then she halted and looked at me accusingly. "And you just agreed with what he had told you to do?!" I shrugged. "Well, yeah! He's right about everything. I don't want you to be in danger all the time. I have to defend you somehow and to do that, I have to enter the military camp. Don't worry, it's just a military camp, no big deal. No big deal."

I say, “Good afternoon, Patrick. What a pleasure it is to have you here! You arrived just in time for you to give us the answers that both Elizabeth and I want to know.” I watch as my grandmother crosses her arms, raises an eyebrow, and in a tone that leaves no room for argument, says, “Sit down.” He sits and watches us all, saying nothing. Then I say, “Would you be so kind as to tell us what you know about the boarding school you recommended to send my daughter to?” He opens his eyes wide and looks cautiously at Elizabeth. Then he sighs and says, “It’s Harry’s cover for training children and young people. That is where he makes them his warriors.”

He moves along with me as we start to dance, and for a second, I think that he has totally forgotten about Simon until he says, "I don't like the way he looks at you. Harry asks me in a cautious tone. I'm about to answer him when we start hearing battle cries and howls, like people are fighting and getting hurt. So I got myself a spot and sat down as thoughts of what might be happening between the two filled my head. I felt bad. I felt like I was all alone in the world even though there was loud music deafening my ears from the background. “Hey, kyle who invited you?” I heard an unfriendly familiar voice say. I lifted my head to see that it was Harry, boyfriend to Bella. Many believe that Harry will become one of the greatest warlocks as soon as he clocks eighteen and as such, they see him and Bella as a power couple. Unlike Bella, Harry is calmer and a bit friendly but I know better than to engage him in a chat as that could provoke his over a possessive girlfriend.
