Sunshine screams as the mixture flying through the air strikes her down. I step inside the protection ring. I reach out to make an opening and pull her onto our side to protect her, but before I can pull Sunshine into my magic protection, one of the minions grabs Sunshine. He hits Sunshine one time with the salty-smelling potion, and it penetrates her body.

I took a long bath, curled up in my robe with a fire going, and lost myself in the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Completely enjoying myself with the book and the fire, I lost all track of time. I put the book down to reach for my can of soda and caught the reflection in the window of someone standing behind my sofa. I jumped and screamed, dropping my book on the floor as I leaped to my feet and whirled around. It took me a moment to realize it was Marsh standing there. With my heart pounding so hard I thought it might come out of my chest, I yelled at him, "Jesus Christ, Marsh! Why are you sneaking up on me? You scared the shit out of me!"

As the clash between Oscar and Damian reached its peak, Oscar seized an opportunity to turn the tide in his favor. With a swift motion, he retrieved a gleaming, arcane wand from his side, its magical essence pulsating with power. With a determined glare, he aimed the wand at Damian, channeling his energy into a single spell. A burst of magical energy erupted from the wand, striking Damian with precision. The impact caused Damian to stagger, his movements faltering as the magic worked its way through his body. The disabling spell had taken effect, rendering him temporarily incapacitated and vulnerable.

It's actually beautiful even if it is so dangerous. "You can't keep him all to yourself!" Maria hurls across the room. "In case you didn't notice, Maria, I'm here by my own choice! Cassie doesn't own me!" Jaxx returns, getting to his feet. "She's put her spell on you!" Bianca sneers. "What the hell are you guys talking about?" Knox shakes his head in disgust. "You are the only sluts in this school who use their magic to drag guys under your spell." "It's true. At the party, you had to use your powers on Kody, Colt and Fox just to get rid of Chloe!" Nadia steps in.

Magic was supposed to come naturally to witches. Meanwhile every time I tried using magic lately something went wrong. Still, I opened the spellbook again flipping toward the earth spell. I inhaled slowly before raising my hand toward the pot. Energy stirred beneath my skin immediately. I whispered the spell carefully. For one second nothing happened. Then suddenly— BOOM. The flower pot exploded violently. Dirt blasted into my face while ceramic pieces flew across the garden. I jumped backward in shock staring at the destroyed remains scattered everywhere. “Oh my God.”

I drank it all in one swift movement. Jason, I wouldn't beg for your love again. I was going to love myself. So… Why are you the one who ended up regretting it? ... I looked at the crystal vial in my hand. The pale, pink liquid shimmered inside, giving off a scent that was both mesmerizing and dangerous. This was the legendary Love Potion, the forbidden magic of our world of Werewolves. Drink it, and the target would have "love" etched deep into their soul for seven years.

She looks exhausted. Mom is leaning over her shoulder, pointing at a page. “This one is a basic cleansing spell. It clears negative energy and stabilizes your aura. You’ll need it before you attempt anything more advanced.” Raven nods, rubbing her temples. “Okay. And the potion?” “That’s a focus draught,” Mom says. “It sharpens your senses. Helps you channel magic without overwhelming yourself.” Raven sighs. “There’s so much. I don’t know how I’m supposed to learn all this fast enough.”

It was bound in dark leather, the title barely legible: "The Lament of the Moon." With trembling hands, I opened the book and began to read. It spoke of powerful spells and ancient rituals, many of which had been lost to time. As I turned the pages, one spell in particular stood out. It was a spell of protection, capable of shielding the entire town from harm. But there was a catch—it required a rare ingredient: the heart of a Silverwood tree. I had heard legends of the Silverwood trees, ancient and powerful, but thought them to be long extinct. The book mentioned that the heart of the tree could amplify magic, making the protection spell almost impenetrable.

Hazel found her legs moving as Halle commanded, then Halle opened up her bag again. This time, she took out a stick. “This is a wand. Open up any spell, then read it out and point it at anything,” she said, and Hazel grabbed the wand. As soon as it came in contact with her hand, everything felt right. “Grow?” she said, with her face contorted, and the book increased in size. She flipped the pages and found a color spell. She said the words in the book, which came out as, “By the power vested in me by this sacred book of witches, I ask you to become whatever color I ask you to,” pointing her wand at the wall, and to her surprise, everything turned blue.

Some of them can actually be used to protect myself, or fight, if I need to. Ever since I started practicing with spells, the magic in me seems to be growing stronger unpredictable. I still haven’t come to terms with being a wolfless werewolf and a witch. But I try to push the thoughts away and focus more on my practice. Today, I’m ready for something bigger. I raise my hand and speak the words from the spell, “Pa vanos.” The air around me shivers, and the window in front of me suddenly shatters, disappearing into nothingness.
