Harry suggested, drawing her attention back to her stained dress.
She shot me a venomous glare before walking away without another word.
I let out a shaky sigh of relief, my shoulders slumping. This was entirely my fault.
"Hey, little guy!" Harry said, squatting to the level of the younger boy. "You’ve grown so much in just a short time!"
The boy grinned, his eyes bright with excitement. "What did you bring me?"
Harry chuckled. "It’s upstairs. I’ll go get it."
The boy bolted up the stairs, eager to retrieve his gift.
