CHAPTER 63.2 EVELYN'S P.O.V I walked towards her, but Phoenix stopped me and looked at me with those worried eyes. I chuckled and smiled at him, assuring him that I'll be fine, and he reluctantly let me go. “Don't you already know the answer to your question? Your mother married a devil. Your mother is a blasphemous one. Your mother tried to put harm on my mother and Lord God. Your mother had already sided with the evil, which is your father. Don't make me laugh! The woman began to chant, her voice rising to a crescendo, and Emilia felt herself being pulled towards the darkness, towards the very heart of evil. Just as Emilia felt the darkness closing in around her, a sudden burst of light pierced through the night sky. It was a moonbeam, shining down with a brilliant intensity that seemed to repel the shadows. Emilia's heart leaped with hope as she recognized the familiar figure stepping out from the darkness—the spirit of her mother. Her mother’s long, dark hair cascaded down her back, shimmering with an ethereal glow, and her eyes radiated a warmth that banished the darkness around them.

Her mouth parted slightly, and her hand shook as she swallowed and tried to reach out to me. “Eve… I…” But I took a step back before she could touch me as though her touch might sting. I noticed the hurt that flashed through her eyes at this. I bit my tongue, trying my best to control my anger. How could any normal mother throw their baby away just like that? How more evil and selfish could she get? I guess everyone was right about her all along. She was evil and crazy. “Don’t.” I said to her and her arm fell to her side. Swallowed again, her eyes glossy with tears that threatened to spill and roll down her face.

I nod my head frantically "She is insane, she was going to carve out our child, and purify me by fire. I know the truth now, everything mama did was carefully curated, she wanted to mess with my head, and convince me I was crazy. What she didn't plan was me leaving the house and meeting you.
