It resembled a corpse and it was damn terrifying. She didn't even realize when she started shivering. Not able to hold the intensity of his piercing eyes, she dropped her gaze to the floor. Her breath reduced to short pants. Unlike her, Travis was completely calm. Keeping the pen on the table, he silently analyzed her anxious state. A subtle smirk slowly crept onto his lips.

As Trevor stepped into the pub, with everything he had learnt today and what had happened, he believed having a few drinks would calm him down. He was aware he would only forget what was happening to him until he became sober again. The pain would hit him ten times more than the previous one. Still, he didn't mind.
