The last thing Vanessa wanted was him going to confront Eve for telling her to stay away from him. Vanessa sighed, then opened the door wider for him to come in, hoping she wouldn't end up regretting her decision. Once Henry stepped in, Vee gently shut the door behind her. "What happened?" Vanessa asked as soon as she came face to face with the back of his head. It was obvious a small portion of his hair was scrapped so the injury tape plaster could fit in. "Nothing to worry about. I'm fine. It will heal in a few days and my hair will grow back." Henry said, taking a seat on the couch in her room. He had disguised his head with a face cap all afternoon to avoid questions and sympathy.

An awkward silence befalls the room as I concentrate on the water while the two women stare at me like a specimen. Nervously, I put the glass down. I was about to run my hand through my hair (something I do out of habit when I’m nervous or in an awkward situation) when I remembered that I no longer had my long hair. Alec had shaved all of it. I was completely bald. Tears fill my eyes. I wasn’t vain, but I really loved my black hair. It had broken my heart to pieces when I saw the black locks lying on the dirty floor after he shaved it off. It was even more heartbreaking to watch as he set the pile on fire.

I looked away and tried not to pay much attention to him, after what seemed like an hour the man laughed Softly. "A good shave always brings out the handsomeness," he whispered.

He then repeated the words he had said earlier to the deaf salon staff, “I said, can you shave my hair bald?” “Why do you want to shave your hair, madam?” The salon staff gulped nervously- when she heard the customer say that she wanted to have- a bald head. “It’s unsuited to your face, madam. And it’s also a waste to shave such long, healthy and glossy hair. “But I want to shave my head,” Mark pouted when he heard the rejection of the staff. He didn’t expect that- his request would be; denied right away.

I replied. They both looked at each other like this was an amusing game. I can already tell that even though they seem like mean fighting machines they are nothing but jokesters underneath it all. "I was going to cut my hair today, that's what we usually do so that people can tell us apart but, we have crazed elders on the loose so that got put on hold." One replied. A haircut? I could do that. I mean how hard could it be? "How do you usually cut it?" I asked. "I usually buzz cut the sides but leave the top a little longer to style it." He replied. His voice was softer now, like he didn’t know what to say. I shook my head quickly, clutching the sheet tighter around me. “Please, just go.” His gaze lingered on me for a moment, like he was trying to decide whether to stay or argue. But then, with a stiff nod, he pulled his shirt over his head, turned, and walked out, closing the door behind him.
