Venice’s jaw dropped, and then she laughed—a full, belly-shaking laugh that made me want to throttle her. “I knew it!” she said, pointing at me like she’d just won a game of Clue. “Reigna Amethyst, smitten with Carlisle Amoroso. Who would’ve thought?” “Would you keep your voice down?” I hissed, glancing toward the door. “And it’s not like that. I don’t even know if it’s real. I mean, how do you know when you’re actually… you know?” “In love?” Venice said, still smirking. “Oh, honey, that’s easy. When he’s around, does your heart race?”

Alice said before Venice finally walked out to go to the garage. She started her favorite car, the Bugatti Divo. She pulled out a pair of shades from the car compartment and put them on before heading out. In less than thirty minutes, Venice arrived outside Louis’ mansion. As soon as she saw Elaine waiting outside the gate, she immediately got out and hugged her tightly. "Ela, you should’ve waited inside, I was worried something might happen to you if I didn’t get here right away. How are you? Are you hurt anywhere?" Venice asked, gently tapping Elaine’s back to calm her as she continued to cry.

I wasn't in the mood for parties. " I'll stay with the brunette, and you? " Henrique said and discreetly pointed to two very beautiful women who were at a neighboring table and I noticed that they didn't take their eyes off us. " So enjoy your night. I'm leaving.” " You can only be in love to dismiss a woman like that, that way.” I paid no attention to my childhood friend and just waved at the two brothers, heading toward the exit. I was already on the sidewalk when I saw my brother talking to Beatrice next to his car. I was even more surprised when I noticed that she was crying and he seemed to be trying to comfort her.

"Who knows if you two are divorced?" He had no comeback, finally giving up on the key but pleading to have the keychain. "After she checked out, which city did she go to?" he asked, clutching the keychain. The receptionist rolled her eyes. "You're her husband, and you don't know where she went?" Vance knew he would get nothing more out of her. That evening in Venice, the city glowed with lights. Pigeons wheeled over St. Mark's Square while a blonde woman in a red gown sang opera, accompanied by a violin.

The taste of wine mixed with the intoxicating feel of him, and for a moment, nothing else existed—just the two of them, lost in the warmth of each other. By the time they pulled away, Sophia’s breath was unsteady, her heart racing. "I think I’m going to enjoy this vacation," she whispered. Adrian smirked, his hand sliding to her waist. "Oh, sweetheart, you have no idea." --- Venice, Italy The scent of the sea blended with the rich aroma of fresh espresso as Sophia stepped onto the terrace of their private villa. The sun shimmered over the canals, casting golden reflections onto the water. Gondolas drifted lazily below, their oars creating ripples in the tranquil surface.

Or maybe I’m finally seeing him. After dessert — lemon, almond, something that tastes like summer — D’Angelo and his wife leave us. “Walk,” he says, clapping Dominic on the shoulder. “Venice is for lovers and liars. See which one you are.” Then it’s just us. The canal is quiet. Water laps at stone. A few lights flicker on in windows. Somewhere, someone is playing a violin. Badly. It’s perfect. We walk. Not talking. Not touching.

It was a moment of pure bliss and serenity, a fitting end to her unforgettable journey through the Floating City. With Venice forever etched in her heart, Luna bid farewell to the city that had captured her imagination and left her with memories that would last a lifetime. As she boarded her next flight, she carried with her the beauty of the canals, the echoes of Venetian melodies, and a newfound appreciation for the art of living gracefully. Luna looked forward to the next chapter of her adventure, ready to embrace the wonders that awaited her in her next destination.

An absolute, suffocating silence filled the ruined, smoke-choked entrance hall of Blackwood Manor. The crisp white envelope lay torn open in Lorenzo’s hand, the single international physical train ticket glinting under the amber emergency lights. The destination node printed on the cardstock felt like an impossibility. **Venice, Italy.** Lorrie stared at the small piece of paper, her chest heaving as she fought the residual effects of the drywall dust. "What class of game is The Council executing now, Lorenzo? Why split our assets across an ocean?"

Then, Dante’s jaw tightened, his golden eyes narrowing into dangerous, lethal slits. "Venice," Dante said, his voice carrying a heavy, dangerous weight that sliced clean through the quiet air of the gym. "I gave you explicit instructions not to use this line unless it was an absolute emergency." The name hit me like a splash of freezing water. Venice. My chest constricted. For a fraction of a second, my mind went entirely blank. The rhythm of the training vanished, replaced by a sudden, irrational surge of jealousy and distraction that completely threw off my footing.

"Take it and buy whatever your heart desires. There's no limit." I stared at him speechlessly. Then I added, "He’s handsome too." Jenson immediately stood up and walked over to me. Leaning down slightly, he spoke against my ear, his warm breath brushing my skin. "And you believe I’m not?" His ridiculously handsome face was suddenly inches away from mine. My heartbeat skipped hard enough to hurt, and I instinctively avoided his gaze. "N-No, that’s not what I meant..." Seeing me blush, Jenson curled his lips in satisfaction before returning to his seat. "What else?" he asked. "What other qualities does he have that make you so attached to him?"
