Olivia gasps as I pull away from her with wide eyes, "Oh, fück." "Are you starting your rut?" Olivia asks with wide eyes, but I shake my head and push my wolf to the back of my mind to control myself. "No... no, that can't be." I mutter, feeling extremely confused. I don't understand what the fück this is about, but it's true that my body feels too hot, my head is starting to feel foggy and my erection is firm and doesn't seem to want to go down anytime soon. "What day does your rut fall? Do you have a calendar or something? Because you feel really hot and your wolf was talking all of a sudden, plus you were literally about to fück me in public..."

It was a question I was not entirely certain I wanted answered. “I know. I think that is what hurts more,” she said.

The elevator jolted slightly as it reached the ground floor, the metal doors parting to reveal the deserted lobby of the luxury high-rise. We walked out into the freezing night air, the temperature dropping significantly since we arrived. My car was parked three blocks away in a private lot. We covered the distance briskly, the heavy wind flowing through my thin hoodie, but the cold barely registered against the absolute fury boiling in my chest. I unlocked the sleek black coupe, sliding into the driver's seat while Soren climbed into the passenger side. The leather upholstery was freezing, the confined space of the vehicle forcing us into extreme proximity once again.

Lavi throws Anna on the bed. She winces as she lands on her back, feeling feverish by the Heat. “You should have listened to me and returned to the castle!” He barks at her. “Listen to me for once!” Anna is irritated by his nagging and becomes defensive. “I did not know that I was in Heat!” She snaps at him. “I never felt like this before!” The Heat is a state which only the female counterpart will experience once they find their mates. If they are not marked or rejected, the Heat will affect them every month.

He dragged his finger down my sharp jawline. His fingers felt light against my skin, almost like he was brushing a feather down my face but his fingers felt hot, like they were burning me. “I don’t want you thinking,” he continued, “I’m just doing this because I’m in a rut.” His pupils had completely dilated with the sexual madness they called rut. But his lips moved too precisely, and his words too firm. My heart stuttered in my chest. A heat coursed through me. It didn’t burn. It felt too soft to do that. But it felt too raw for me to ignore. Too different from what I had ever experienced.

The edge still thrummed beneath my skin. “I thought heat was supposed to end when the Alpha’s rut faded,” I said quietly.

He was wearing a shirt that was already full of blood, his face looked messy, he was breathing heavily, the closer he got the more pungent his pheromone scent became. He looked at me with a gaze that I had never seen before. His eyes were red like a Ruby, oh, he really entered the RUT. It is because there were many Omegas here and some were experiencing HEAT? Or is there something else? Why would he enter the RUT at a time like this?
