Archie let out a long sigh. There were a lot of things on his mind, heavy as the weight his future carried. But one thing stood out. The reason for his recent heartache. He strides over to the bed, looking over at his mate and I know they’re conversing before Alejandro sighs, looking down at Skyla, before brushing her hair back and kissing her forehead.

Alejandro’s voice was just outside the living room archway now. “Fine!” she called out, her voice an octave too high. “Just… just a headache! I was lying down!” Lucas watched her, his arms crossed over his chest, an amused, arrogant smirk on his face. He was enjoying every second of her humiliation.
