Little Prince

Little Prince

No doubt was he able to escape getting called a bunch of weird names. The suspiciousness breaks, burns and fades into thin air and Lisa finds herself turning a crimson red when Jin just simply winks back. You notice how the man standing beside Xel - coming to terms that his name's Zale- had his eyes planted on you. Like the whole time. Not that it bothered you or anything. But staring for far too long? You consider it quite rude. You try to ignore how his intense gaze sends a shudder to ripple down your back and you hop out of your seat. Bad idea.

Gunnar

Gunnar

I grumbled, clearly having a death wish. Except, the man chuckled and I could bet my life savings that the alcohol was to blame because Eddie looked just as flabbergasted as I felt. "Yes, how very cliched but a fickle thing like fucking with the one and only Gunnar Astor, the man who considers himself untouchable, is also the good motive," Mickey rounded his desk, giving me a full-body image of him. He wore a Slate Gray button-down that was open around the chest and had the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. Inky black slacks hugged his toned legs, "the figlio di puttana will be pissed that his woman came running to me in the end. He'll be pissed that I won and that he lost. He's always hated

This book is a must read. I couldn't put this book down. The characters are very realistic and the story line is something you can actually see happening in real life; especially when you have a dysfunctional family. This book is full of humor as well. I absolutely loved it.

Loved is actually an understatement. One of the best stories I have ever read. Just finished Ace (freaking amazing, loved just as much) and going to finish this binge reading by reading Jericho. Worth reading all night, who needs sleep when you have these outstanding characters keeping you company!

Wolf

Wolf

Alastor growled. "Wow, you're as clueless as I thought! I never imagined how easy this would be. Clark. My father was Mike Clark. He was a poacher. The one that wolf there sunk his teeth into." He jabbed a finger at Alastor. My mind flashed back to the time I spent with Alastor at the zoo. The time I had read his file.

Monster Among the Roses

Monster Among the Roses

Next to it, a quote read: The best way to find out if you can trust someone is to trust them. “That’s the work of Black Crimson,” I said. “You like it?” “It’s breathtaking,” she murmured. “And the quote sounds like someone famous should’ve written it.” “Someone famous did write it. Ernest Hemingway,” I said. When she glanced at me, I shrugged. “I had to look it up after the first time I saw the painting.” Nodding, she glanced back over her shoulder to take in the last of the masterpiece before we’d driven past it completely. Turning forward again, she asked, “Who’s Black Crimson?”

Timothy my most trusted man and closest friend says drawing a small chuckle from somewhere deep within me. "That it has old man, but after this I can comeback and with a vengeance because she, she is just the beginning" "Cal why did you wait so long to do this" his question is a valid one and the only answer I can give is fear and grief. Fear of losing myself to this world of blood and grief for losing my soul reason for living and grief from losing myself, because a huge part of myself died with her, but all I tell him is "I needed her, them to feel as if I had moved on and they were safe. I wanted these murderers to feel like they weren't being hunted. I wanted them to have a false sense o

Murder on the Northwind Trail

Murder on the Northwind Trail

- The words poured out of me like fire, burning me up from the inside. "She was 19—she was only 19! She'd just graduated high school. She had everything ahead of her. She was kind—so stupidly kind. Out there, 16 thousand feet up in Deadman's Hollow, she was starving and shaking, but she still gave her last granola bar to Ken when he said he was hungry!

Dominic

Dominic

I looked around my apartment, trying to figure out how to get out of the mess we were currently in. "Caitlin, I-" Just then the door got kicked down and I gasped grabbing Micahs hand and taking a few steps backwards. In walked a man dressed in all black, it contrasted hugely against the silver hair on his head and the silver gun in his hand, already pointed directly at Micah. "Drop it or I'm shooting him right in the fucking face." The man growled, glaring at me and I gulped. I slowly placed it down the table, right next to my wine glass. He had an accent, the same one like Dominic's.

Gone With the Quiet Wind

Gone With the Quiet Wind

She had nothing left. I never saw her again. … Some time later, I heard people say a homeless woman had jumped into a river. Before her death, she told someone, "Don't cheat. I once had a great marriage, but I ruined it." Her life ended while I continued moving forward under the sun. I became the city's richest man, navigating the corporate landscape and living in the spotlight. Bruce was happy with my growth. A few years later, he passed away peacefully. I never remarried, but I did adopt two boys and raised them into capable adults. Years later, they took over my company. I didn't hesitate to retire and chose to spend my days thinking about what to eat, taking care of my garden, and my dog

A heart bleeding with love

Her eyes widened and sparkled as she stared at it, unable to believe she was actually standing there. She cried out with childlike excitement, "Hemingway and Sartre used to sit here! I want to sit where they used to sit!" Her eyes shone with genuine passion. She loved the works of the two great writers. Ernest Hemingway, the American writer known for his simple, understated style and short, clear sentences, had always been one of her favorites. She admired his literature deeply and was particularly attached to his famous novel, A Farewell to Arms. As for the philosopher Sartre, the French existentialist philosopher, his ideas ab

Valerie's Descent

Valerie's Descent

Now, she wished she had, as she could have used his advice on how to handle the older man. After a few seconds, she realized she had remained silent too long, and Mr. Warren could misinterpret her quietness. “I actually like to read several genres,” she said in a rush, hoping to distract him from asking her out again. Or, at least, prolong it until she could think of an answer. “I don’t really have a favorite author. How about you?” “Oh, I’m a classics man, myself,” he told her. “I enjoy Hemingway, Hawthorne, Verne. Have you read any of them?”
