After that, he handed the letter to an elder who whose eyes widened when he read the contents. “What does it say?” one of the elders who had not got the chance to read the letter asked. Joshua cleared his throat before reading aloud. “Alpha Rodney Harding is requested to attend the Alpha Summit accompanied by his Luna, Lady Evie Harding, known throughout the northern territories as the Fireheart.”

She focuses her mind on what is important which is to find her second before it is too late. “The hunters,” she prompts the deputy, this time with a note of authority backing her words. She is done playing games and needs information from the woman across from her. Deputy Lone shifts her attention to the brunette, and finds her with a stern expression as she regards her coldly. This is the Alpha she has heard about. The cold and aloof being that doesn’t care for anything. The deputy wonders how the woman could have such a cold demeanor, and love her mate the way she does. She pushes the thought back to answer the question thrown at her.

"She was strong and smart. She outwitted me and made me inject Beta Nathan with the wolfbane mixture meant for her. Please forgive me, Al-." The wounded man didn't have a chance to finish his plea for the enraged beast, which he called Alpha, ripped the beating heart out of the man's chest in a swift motion. The lifeless body falling to the floor with a thud. Blood pools on the wooden floor and the Persian rug under the sofas, filling the room with a metallic scent. -"Nathan, make this an example. I don't tolerate failures." The Alpha says, throwing the still-beating heart into the fire.
