Many of us here have fluid forms or take on different genders depending on the situation." She placed a comforting hand on the young godling's shoulder. "Your brothers and sisters are simply surprised. They're not used to seeing you in this form so clearly." Hermes let out a loud laugh from across the hall. "Surprised is an understatement, Mother Hera! We've been calling her 'he' this whole time." He winked conspiratorially at the newcomer. Your gazed turn to hermes. "Then is he born as a chicken?" Uriel's expression didn't change in the least. "Regretful but warranted, child. Mortas is the son of Asmodeus the demon of lust and Lucifer's grandson and should not be reproducing offspring," he growled softly and I eyed him oddly over that tidbit of information. "Salgos is my father, you're mistaken. I've never even met Asmodeus," I replied back. Uriel looked up and laughed cruelly.

Without her, both my mother and I would have died that night. I was born with golden ichor in my veins. That was the King’s blood, and it meant I was no ordinary mortal but a demigod. My mother held me and wept for a long time. “Hebe,” she said, “you have divine blood now. That means you will never die, doesn’t it?” She did not know. The ichor could not save me. The year I turned three, Hera’s nephew, a demigod boy named Alcyoneus, fifteen years old and built like an ox, came upon me on the Sacred Stair of Olympus. He asked whose daughter I was. Emotions had run wild between now and then; excitement, disbelief, discontent, rage, and now a thoughtful silence pervading the four walls like a thick blanket that lulls her back to the bay of sleep’s arms. ''Well, the legend says that you're the jack of all trades among the gods. You have wings, two sets of wings on your back and feet, and you are the only god with free passage between Mount Olympus, Earth, and even the underworld. Some even say you're the god of trickery and the slayer of monsters," she said. ''Legend says, what about you? What do you believe?'' Hermes asked.

I let out a cough and rubbed the back of my neck. “Yeah, Mom, sorry. This is Demi she is a… um” Damn, what was she called again. “A Keres” Demi answered for me. “Right, a Keres. She assists the Gods in a way kind of like a Valkyrie.” My mother nodded her head. “She was sent here by our Goddess Selene and the Dragon God Typhon to keep an eye on me.”
