I couldn't understand what he said since it was in Korean. Just then, Dae-Hyun's older brother walks off to where he should be going. I watch as he does. "Hyung, were you talking about me?" Javier muttered questioningly, half-mockingly, I would think. From what limited things I know of Korean, I think the word Javier said meant olde brother. he groaned, apparently knowing well how his name is spoken in Korean. Dae-Hyun turned to the guy and smirked, but then suddenly his face dropped, "What are you three doing here?"

"Oh, sorry" "Adeul" I heard a female voice said as we walk forward. "Annyeong" she smiles at him before they hug. (Son. Hello) "Eomma" he replied. (Mom) Okay, I did not understand that. "I've miss you so much. How have you been?" She asked. He hugs her again. Okay, mummy's boy. "Daebak, this must be her" she hugs me immediately. That makes him laugh. “I am.” I pull on my small bunch of Korean phrases I’ve gathered over the years. “Mannaseo bangapseumnida!” I say with a bow. His smile grows. “That’s very good! You speak Korean?” I shake my head. “Only what I’ve picked up from music and TV.”

I said smilingly and Kim stopped slurping and stared at me with exited eyes. "jinjja?(really?)" She gushed in Korean. "Okay what..." "She means really?" Lia said with a chuckle as she opened her car door and stepped in. "I'm coming with you Rosy. Let's go have some Japchae and Hoeddeok!" Kim said, pulling me to her car. Good thing I didn't come with my car today, it's Carl that dropped me off earlier. "ddo bwayo(see you later)" she shouted to Lia in Korean.

Ha… wai… you? I cover my mouth to suppress a laugh. My stomach hurts from holding it in. “Mom, it’s how are you! Not ha-wai-you! Hawai is a country, not a greeting!” the man hissed. Dongju lets out a soft chuckle, and I can’t hold it anymore either. We both laugh, not mockingly, just amused — swept up in the absurd charm of these two people. “No, no! I think you’re misunderstanding,” I said quickly, regaining my composure. “We’re Korean. Not tourists.”

My friends shot me questioning glances, but I ignored them, especially when Josh responded to my message. Josh Rain: I remember one time Sissy said she wanted Rodnie to call her like that (laugh emoji). She said "honey" means that in Korean. I felt my cheeks blush again after Josh's reply. I quickly took a sip of water when I choked on my food. "Are you okay, Yannie?" Jomar quickly asked, handing me a glass of water. I took it and drank. "Why do you use your cellphone while eating?" Jomar scolded me, causing my three friends to pause and look at us.
