Drake growled. Suddenly, his eyes turned red; he was fuming mad as he transformed. He runs towards the rouge, who transforms into a werewolf and mercilessly scratches his back. He wasn’t contented; he attacked the rouge, and then Drake beheaded the rouge until it transformed into a human, lying on the ground, lifeless. They fought the other rouge and howled angrily. “That’s for poisoning my stray!” Drake gritted his teeth as he beheaded them all. Beta Dillon picked up the poison's antidote and gave it to the alpha.

“Push again!” The fight turned brutal. Twisted wolves swarmed the center. One leaped straight at us. Drax met it with his knife while I sent silver light into its chest. It dissolved mid-air. Another slammed into Drax’s side. He grunted in pain but did not fall. I poured light into him through the bond. The wound closed fast. He glanced at me, eyes fierce. “Keep going. I have you.” Kade fought his way closer, covered in soot and blood. “They are everywhere!” he yelled. “We cannot hold much longer like this!”

Chapter 22 Alina's POV I couldn’t shake the chill that had taken root in my bones after that night of howls and monstrous charges.
