I don’t—” Then the world shattered. Light burst out of Aiden’s chest—not explosive, not violent. Controlled. Focused. A beam thin as a thread shot upward into the sky, vanishing beyond the clouds. Dante shielded his eyes. “Aiden!” Aiden doubled over, hands pressed to his knees. The light wasn’t painful—it felt like exhaling something he didn’t know he’d been holding.

He quickly straddled Eric and started throwing punches left and right. It looked so painful that I felt my own face twinge. Eric finally stopped fighting back, too tired to resist, and that's when the punches stopped. "Scram!" Eric got up, wobbling, and looked at me. "Wendy, you've loved me since high school. Was that all just a lie? Can you really stand there and watch him destroy my company?"

Then he licked the blood trailing down Cassie's neck, making her shudder with revulsion. That was the last straw. Xavier lost control and a blinding white light burst out of his body. His eyes were pitch black and he roared at Damian. Damian quickly pushed Cassie away from him in order to protect himself. Cassie lost her footing and her head struck a pillar beside her and she fell down unconscious. This made Xavier raging mad. His eyes burned with black fire.

Jennifer and I sprinted towards Daisy Manor, my senses tingling as I detected Xavier's aura. As we neared the manor, a terrifying and awe-inspiring sight met our eyes: Xavier was engaged in battle with the Dark Queen Lilith. The surrounding air was electric, each matching the other's fury and intensity. Their magic—light and dark—clashed dramatically, the force of their power throwing Jennifer and me back. We were propelled into the air before crashing to the ground. Groaning in pain, I saw Xavier land a hit on Dark Queen Lilith, drawing first blood. However, he, too, was injured, bleeding from his palms.
