I watched it go two feet higher and get brighter. I closed my eyes, thinking it’s going to blow up. Eventually, I heard a loud thump. I opened my eyes and the box is on the floor. I got up and approached it slowly. The box was open. I dipped my hand in and reached for the content of the box. It looked like a gem, a red gem.

Scarlet stood there in disbelief, watching as the old man held the vampire shield high above his head, the ground beneath her quaking. She watched as he transformed, became younger, stronger. Rays of light continued to shoot out from the shield, completely filling the room, and the other vampires continued to bow low to the ground, shielding their eyes from the intense light. She too, had to turn away, so much light filled the room. Beside her, Ruth whined.

The third page says, ‘I have not abandoned you.’ The fourth page, ‘if you are reading this it is because it was planned you find this.’ As Lucifer turns the page, he sees gods hand reaching out of the sky. As he checks the other pages, it is all blank. This is where your story begins. Tossing it aside, Lucifer can't help but tear up, seeing this girl's picture with long blonde hair and about seven years old.
