Alcina’s fingers dig in, just a bit more, into Brendan’s hand. That impetuous, gleaming eye glaring up at him, lip curled in a frown. The image of Brendan’s salvation in a pretty, petulant little package. “I am not a lamb,” she says.
Alcina tilts her chin as though plaintively seeking-
Brendan’s smile widens.
Ah.
“No,” he agrees, shifting to lay down, aligning his body along Alcina’s with a small smirk. “You are my little dragon.”
