Actually it was not really about the world’s history, but it is just about the character travelling to different places in different times, discovering treasures, witnessing wars, anything that happened significantly on the year he had travelled on. And though it is a fictional story, it still has a touch of true world history in it, depending on where the character went and what time.

She followed Willow around the corner and into an aisle labeled Biographical Histories. Willow stopped in front of the third shelf and ran her puffy hands along the spines, finally pulling out a book and handing it to Clara: Historic Crimes in Hiestora. When Clara pried it open, the book issued a hissing sound and she noticed it suddenly felt lighter in her hands. Cracking open the dusty tome, Clara noticed pictures that were moving as if the history was playing out once again inside these pages. Below the pictures were written texts of the events.

That alone might be worth the effort. Shaking my head at the thought, I drifted back toward the main shelves, pulling a few books that caught my interest. My stack grew quickly: a historical novel with an intricate map inside the cover, a poetry collection, a book of legends… and, okay, maybe one or two with decidedly romantic-looking covers. Purely for variety, of course. I was just balancing the last book on the stack when the door opened behind me. “Let me guess,” a familiar voice drawled, “you got lost and stumbled in here looking for more romcoms.”

This book does try to stay as truthful to the time period as possible and the legends and folk tales of the places it tackles, however, some historical anachronisms may happen, and sometimes I will favour fiction over historical accuracy. The first story is complete and ready for you to enjoy.
