I’m still feeling super panicky. “Well, hey there handsome. I’m Poppy. Nice to meet you.” The control woman greets with her hand out for me to shake. A large smile plastered on her face as she blatantly checks me out. She’s cute. But she’s not Maddie. I vaguely wonder if anyone here is ugly. Everyone I’ve noticed in the pack are all extremely handsome or beautiful. None more so than Madison.

Bella's POV I know Eva is not going to stay away from our table. She is just the type who is always looking for trouble. She comes to fetch our orders for drinks, and since I am not twenty-one yet, I am not allowed to drink alcohol. I asked for orange juice. Baron orders himself a glass of whiskey. Eva returns, and I can smell the alcohol in the orange juice. I put it aside. Baron looks at me, frowning and wondering why I am not drinking my orange juice.

With Miguel's return to the room, the two could come across two guys standing at his door, one with brown hair in a well-aligned haircut, a shaved beard and standing with his hands in his pockets while the other was talking super excitedly, gesturing a lot. This one had dark blond hair combed back. As Miguel approached the duo, he put his hand on Catherine's shoulder, making her look at him a little scared at first. His hand was warm, and he had to take a step to his side, which made her smell his wonderful scent. It was Miguel's perfume, with a woody odor that matched perfectly with his lumberjack style. The trance in her mind was broken when she heard him introduce her.

I also found out that he was the infamous Morgan Wright, the CEO of Wright Corporation and the heir to the Wright Empire. Before my uncle finished making his call, the whispers around me had already given me a vague impression of the handsome man, and I had also come to the conclusion; he was an arrogant jerk.

“Poppy's biological father's name is August Valentine, and I’m his younger sister.” Poppy took a sudden look at the woman. “My dad’s sister? Did my dad have a secret sister?”

"Go take a shower while I finish up my work." Hermione peeked into the room. When she saw my laptop open with complicated lines of code displayed on the screen, her eyes lit up. She leaned closer, curiosity overflowing. "What's all this, sir? It looks impressive!" I sat down before the laptop and gave her a brief explanation about the project. "This is a new battery that my company is developing. I'm in charge of the research and development." Hermione feigned ignorance, widening her eyes and clapping her hands. "I didn't know you were so amazing!"

Lamech explained and I didn't want to just sit there doing nothing because it was bugging me. I wanted to know where Serena was but I couldn't and that wasn't rubbing me the right way. “I want to start looking for the dream eater who took her memories and maybe start creating rapport with him for her,” I told them and they looked at me surprised that I would suggest such a thing. "But no one knows where he is or what he looks like," Poppy, who had come to bring us tea and some biscuits, said. “That's why you are witches and wizards. Help me try and locate him," I said and they all looked at me like a child who had a lot to learn.

Wren assured them. She picked up the journal she had left on the center table that they had told her to transcribe. She had started to get deep into it but she did not get anything serious yet. “I am back!” Poppy announced, coming through the front door with a bag slung across her shoulder. The triplet has put her to work since they found out about the hex and she was dedicated to finding the person that was with the hex so they could work on how they were going to go ahead with their attempt to cure the person before it got too deep into them.
